When learning to drive always ask your driving instructor to show you their DVSA badge.
By law it must always be displayed on the left side of the windscreen when giving tuition!

Illegal driving lesson intercepted today in Bletchley. Student unaware but paying £37.50 per hour for an unqualified instructor. Insurance invalidated, 6 points for ‘instructor’, criminal investigation commenced and vehicle seized. Paying for professional driving lessons? Is your instructor displaying a green or pink DVSA badge in the windscreen?
