Good evening everyone,

This coming week is Walk to School Week! It’s a great opportunity to get moving and think about how exercise can make us feel — more awake, happier, energised, and ready to learn. Even a short walk can help clear our minds and start the day positively.

If you are able to, we encourage you to walk to and/or from school during the week. If walking the whole journey isn’t possible, perhaps you could set off a little earlier, park a little further away, and walk the last part of the journey instead. Every extra step counts and helps us build healthy habits while also helping the environment.

Let’s all try to get involved and enjoy the benefits of being active this week.

Following recent pupil surveys, some of our children shared that they would like reminders about what to do if they are feeling stuck, worried, upset, or unsure about something.

As a result, we will be revisiting this in school on Monday and reminding children about the different ways they can seek help and support, both in and out of the classroom.

We would also encourage parents and carers, should they wish, to have similar conversations at home so that children hear consistent messages about speaking to trusted adults, asking for help, and knowing they are supported.

Proud is an understatement.

Such an impressive Day 3 of SATs! The children outperformed our expectations and absolutely gave their all in both papers. We are so proud of their determination, resilience and positive attitude throughout.
