Border Rose Designs

I think Icebreaker was one of the first books I read this year and I. Am. Obsessed. I loved it so much! I’m not usually a book boyfriend person but I’ll take Nate Hawkins any day❤️
I did my best to make the hockey shirts seem sporty but cute, I’m not from the US though so I have no idea what college sports shirts look like so I ended up on a deep dive of college ice hockey teams to find some inspo!
I also wanted to make sure the hockey shirts would be okay for whoever your favourite hockey team member is because we know it’s going to be a series (thank you, thank you, thank you Hannah Grace, ily) and I’m hoping in the future I can add more shirts and designs as the Maple Hills campus is expanded!
This mini collection is also introducing a new shade of blue to the shirts on offer so keep your eye out for some more designs on this colour coming soon!

I’m sorry I’ve been gone so long, I didn’t mean to take such a break after Christmas but I went away at the start of January and got back to a pile of orders to complete (thank you to everyone who’s ordered so far this year!) and before I knew it it was the middle of February and I hadn’t added any new designs to the website it all!!
So what a way to make a comeback, right in time for the new Daisy Jones & The Six show so my new design had to be for that and it’s on a new colour too!
I wanted to slide a Fleetwood Mac vinyl into the photos because obviously we don’t have the actual Daisy Jones & The Six record yet but my mum couldn’t find her copy so I swiped her Drifters album instead and we’re off to hunt down her Rumours album in a minute, it’s gotta be somewhere right??
Also please ignore how weirdly I’m holding this book, it’s one of those covers where you can see fingerprints all over it and I was doing my best to not get my little paw prints everywhere😭

Okay first I’m sorry I haven’t posted since the start of November, Christmas orders started coming in and I’m a bit of a stresser so I was just trying to keep up but I’m finally hopefully back to posting more regularly now!
Secondly, I wanted to let you know that I’ve unfortunately had to close the shop for Christmas earlier than I planned to because I’m having a massive problem with DPD delivering shirts and I don’t want to take on orders for Christmas etc if I’m then not able to fulfil them because DPD can’t deliver my items (they’ve made an ENEMY out of me, that’s for sure)
I’m also having a few issues with Royal Mail and international orders so if you’ve ordered and it was dispatched in late November just know I’m trying my best to figure out what has happened but with all the strikes getting to be able to speak to anyone is difficult
The strikes were another factor of why I closed early because it just seems like the system is getting more and more backed up and I didn’t want orders being delayed even more than they already are
In more fun news, I was planning a 2k/Christmas/holiday giveaway but with all the postal issues I’ve decided to delay it until the new year but just know it’s coming!

🎄New Christmas designs have arrived🎄
I actually had the Dolly Parton design draw out last year but things got so crazy that I never had a chance to stitch out a sample and add it to the shop but she’s made it this year! Better late than never, right?
I wanted to add a couple more general Christmas themed designs and so I went with the classic banger Santa Baby and The Nutcracker (Barbie version being the best one obviously🙄)
I might try and add a few more but I was struggling to come up with any for the Christmas films I liked, unless you want A Christmas Prince one because I am ready and willing to make a design for that, what a FILM🤣

Sorry I’ve been quiet, I ran out of preplanned posts and then panicked😭
I did say I’d be adding a few more new Christmas designs this month but then I was getting into the autumn and Halloween spirit and just went with it because why not? I didn’t think I’d be doing any Halloweenish stuff this year but I decided to go for a more general autumn/fall vibe because you can wear them for longer (all year if you really want I won’t judge) so viola!🍁🍂

I say this like every time I design a new shirt but I think this is my favourite! I love the pink (my favourite colour) and I just love the Palm Springs vibes! I really want to go one day and You and Me On Vacation made me want to go so bad
This happens to me all the time, if I read a book set somewhere I already want to visit I’m suddenly desperate to go
I always forget Palm Springs is a literal desert though and I just don’t think I could handle the heat, not after the heatwaves we’ve had this summer, I’m not built for it unfortunately, I’d just be flopped in front of an AC unit the whole time

I feel like I’m gonna sound so old saying this but I remember when the The Summer I Turned Pretty books were super popular back in the day, you remember the ICONIC white covers with the real people on? But it’s been so nice to see it get turned into a show and more people find it and get hooked on it!
Can’t decide which is my favourite combo, the white and blue or the sand (ha, beach and sand lol) version🤔

If I am one thing, then I am an Emily Henry stan, this woman could write her shopping list and I’d be begging to read it! My favourite of her three is You and Me On Vacation/People We Meet On Vacation (which is also my favourite design but I love the Palm Springs aesthetic) but I think people don’t love it as much as her Beach Read or Book Lovers? I am t r a s h for friends to lovers though, it’s definitely one of my favourite tropes and I love all the travelling and split timeline, just all of my favourite things mashed together! Have you read any of her books and which is your fave?

Okay so taking this photo made me realise I don’t even own a pair of black jeans (I’m not sure how that’s happened) so Eddie and I are not style compatible, in fact I’d say my wardrobe is pretty much Stevecore, which I’m not sure if that is embarrassing or not tbh

Spoiler alert - I’m STILL sad about what they did to him (I am clinging to the delusional that they’re bringing him back, please Duffers I need you to bring him back to me) but right now I’m going to stay in the safety of the Joseph Quinn and Eddie edits on tiktok that are flooding my fyp💖😭

Stranger Things came out weeks ago and I’m still thinking about it (mainly about Steve and Eddie) so I designed some shirts to get it out of my system😂
I can’t believe we have to wait until like 2024 to find out what happens and how it all wraps up! Just hope my baby Will is gonna be alright (is it a red flag that he’s my comfort character?😂) and I hope Max pulls through as well, cause spoilers, I can’t lose her and Eddie, it’s too much😭
