💛 Farewell, Kia 💛

However, this a bittersweet post as on 19th August, we will be saying goodbye to our wonderful Kia as she moves on to her next adventure.

Kia has been a valued member of the Swans Care & Education family for the last 6 years, and we are so grateful for the care, kindness and dedication she has shown to our children, families and team throughout her time with us. She has made a lasting impact on so many little lives, and she will be greatly missed by everyone.

Please join us in wishing Kia all the very best for the future - we know she has an exciting journey ahead, and we can’t wait to see all that she achieves. Thank you for everything, Kia! 💐💙

💛 Favourite thing about working with children: Caring for the children how I would care for my own 2 children whilst their parents/carers are at work ❤️

🎨 Favourite activity to do with the children: Trips to the park as the children love to explore the outdoors 🩷

📚 Favourite children’s book or song: little rabbit foo foo (obviously read in a Scottish accent 🤣)

We’re excited to kick off our brand new Staff Spotlight series, where you’ll get to know the amazing team behind Swans Care & Education. 💙

First up is our wonderful Pre-School Room Lead, Rachel! 👋

📅 Years at the Nursery: 1 year and 10 months

💛 Favourite thing about working with children: Helping them achieve development milestones- seeing big smiles on their faces everyday!

🎨 Favourite activity to do with the children: I love teaching children sounds, singing and making crafts. I also love to teach the children sign language!

🎓 Pre-School Graduation 2026 🎓

Last week we celebrated our Pre-School Graduation, marking the end of a fantastic year for our children before they begin their next adventure at school.

The children did an amazing job performing “I’m On My Way”, and we couldn’t have been prouder of how confidently they sang in front of their families.

A special thank you to Rachel for teaching the children to sign along to “True Colours” and “Reach for the Stars”. It was a lovely addition to the ceremony and enjoyed by everyone who attended.

From the graduation ceremony and celebration cake to the buffet and our decorated garden, it was a wonderful afternoon to celebrate everything the children have achieved.

Finally, thank you to all of the parents and families who joined us to share this special occasion. We wish all of our graduates the very best as they start school in September – we know they’ll do brilliantly. 💙🎓

We are absolutely delighted to share some wonderful news

A huge congratulations to one of our Directors, Kirstie, and her family on the safe arrival of their beautiful baby boy, Jura Jordan, who was born on 26th June. 💙

Jura is already being showered with love by his proud big sister, Iona, and big brother, Harris. 🥰

This is also an incredibly special time for Joanne, who is over the moon to welcome her gorgeous new grandson! 💙✨
