All to often women who have previously been through trauma tend to worry about problems and setbacks in their current day to day life. This quite simply brings fear, anxiety and causes their mindset to shift to the worse case scenario.
When in fact more times than not by changing the focus and finding the best case scenario or even looking for potential gifts that the given situation or experience could bring; you will find most problems or setbacks will disintegrate, and if they don't you will be in a much better place in your mind to be able to handle what the problem is moving forward.
Write two lists on the same piece of paper titled:
📍What is the worse case scenario of this situation or problem?
📍What is the best case scenario of this situation or problem?
The trick is to train your mindset to begin shifting focus to the best case scenario, or the gifts that the problem or setbacks may bring. By doing so your anxiety and fear will decrease and you will begin to feel empowered not disempowered. From this place you will be in a much better position to handle the situation or problem that is currently in your way.

So what gets in the way of self belief?
Quite simply self doubt…
Self doubt puts the breaks on your authentic power and is the biggest mental block that sabotages all areas of your life including your relationships.
Not only that the inner voices that come with self doubt begin to erode self confidence which feeds into your self doubt even more, and becomes a vicious circle.
Many women I coach suffer from self doubt and there are many reasons for it, as it can begin as early as childhood from parents, caregivers, people in authority and peers. It can also happen in adulthood. All too often a traumatic event in life can exacerbate the feelings of self doubt.
So what does self doubt look like?
The most common thing I hear from clients is
“ I dont feel good enough” which leads to doubting whether they can achieve, change or be something they desire. This can bring anxiety, fear, worry, sadness and a feeling of unworthiness, which can result in isolation, depression and sadly can then impact mental health.
In all honesty it breaks my heart to see women like this, because I know how it feels for I remember feeling like this myself many years ago through my own story, a story that led to my healing and why I became a coach. I only write this post and share this so whoever it resonates with firstly doesn't need to feel alone, but secondly to bring hope: Because you can change how you are feeling as self doubt can be dealt with, and you can begin to feel ‘good enough” because you are!
.. and with that feeling brings the hidden gem of anything you desire into your reality.
So what is the answer?
📍 The first step is to get out of the lower frequency of fear, as its almost impossible to change the areas of your life when you are in fear. The opposite of fear is love. Fear cannot exist in the presence of love. You can do this by surrounding yourself with the people you love or go to a place which brings you peace.
📍 It is also so important to work on self love. Many people think self love is selfish or conceited. This is not what I mean. Self love is having a healthy respect for yourself and involves fully accepting who you are. This is a process which can be achieved!
📍 Where there is awareness change happens - after becoming aware of your thoughts of self doubt its important not to push them down. Putting a lid on them will not help but will hinder your healing, instead you can talk to a loved one, write in a journal how you are feeling, or you are very welcome to come join my growing community of like minded women by clicking on the link below- we would love to have you!
