Comment BUILD and I’ll send you the details for my free workshop on Sunday 18 October, where we practise exactly this.
How do you actually remember what tarot cards mean?
Next time you pull one, before you touch the book:
- Say out loud what you see: what they’re doing, what they’re holding, where they are
- Say what you think it might mean, even if it feels like bo****ks
- Then check the book and compare
- Notice what matched and what you missed
So take the High Priestess.
You might say: they’re sat dead still between two pillars, one black and one white. There’s a scroll half hidden under their robe, and a curtain behind them you can’t see past. It feels like something’s being kept back.
Then you open the book, and it talks about hidden knowledge, the unknown, and sitting with mystery rather than forcing an answer.
You’d already noticed most of that yourself, so now the meaning’s got something to hang on to. Having a go first can help it stick, even when your first go is wrong.
We’re doing exactly this in small groups at my free workshop, How to Build a Relationship with the Cards, on Sunday 18 October, and there’s a replay if you can’t make it live.
