What a busy few weeks we have had in Reception! This week saw the arrival of our adopted penguin, Mental health week, Safer internet day and a visit from Red Tiger karate club. Last week we celebrated Chinese New Year and enjoyed using our globes and atlas' to talk about where we live, where we had all travelled to on holiday and where China was. Next week- our class trip to Imagine That! in Liverpool... we cannot wait!

Reception have adopted their very own penguin! We are excited to learn lots of fun facts and information about him over the next few weeks. Next week, we will be writing him a letter to ask him questions we would like answering. He has come just in time to join reception on their class trip next week!

Year 4 have had an exciting end to the week. We had the exciting opportunity to do some Karate with Red Tiger Karate club yesterday and today we have been involved in an Anglo Saxon drama workshop with Altru Drama! Can the children tell you 1 interesting fact and date from Anglo Saxon Britain?

Y2 loved their Karate taster day!! Red Tiger Karate club were fantastic with the children and Year 2 thoroughly enjoyed their session.

We have had a busy week, first solving Traditional Tale crimes, next mental health week workshop, then a trip to China and finally Japan for Karate!"

Year 4 enjoyed thinking about their feelings and what they might look like if they were characters. We enjoyed our visit from Lisa who made us think about our feelings and how they might be different for different people.

Year 4 have had a busy week so far this week. We have been learning about the Water Cycle in Science and have been making our own brochures using persuasive writing techniques in English
