Looking for something different that builds skills and confidence?
Project 180 is a unique 6‑week darts programme delivered by GM Darts in partnership with Salford Community Leisure’s Active Communities Team, designed to support young people academically and personally through the sport of darts.
Every session is designed to build confidence, focus and real‑world maths skills in a way young people actually enjoy. Players are constantly adding and subtracting scores, making quick decisions and planning finishes while having fun.
Alongside the numbers, the sessions will help young people develop social skills. The sessions are designed to support patience and turn‑taking, to win and lose and how to communicate with their peers.
The programme will have clear milestones and children will be rewarded throughout the six week programme with certificates to celebrate their effort and improvement.

Year 4 had a wonderful day yesterday for our River study at Seven Acres Country Park. We started the day with a short coach ride to Bolton, and were swiftly met and taken to the classroom there where we discussed everything about Rivers. All staff, including the guide, were blown away at the knowledge the children were able to recall from our previous geography unit! Then we went on a hike - spotting all the key features of the river we had discussed. Next, we conducted a 'highly scientific' experiment to measure the velocity of the river using a rubber duck and a stop clock. We finished our morning having duck races off the bridge. After lunch we spent some time in the river doing kick sampling and identifying all different species of river creatures. A wonderful day, with beautiful weather as the cherry on top!!!! Well done Y4!!
