Just like that we’ve reached the end of Spring Term! We would like to wish everyone a Happy Easter, if you are celebrating, and a happy and safe holiday. 🪺🥚🐣 School will re-open on Monday the 20th of April. 💙💛

Y6 had a wonderful time on their trip to the Stockport Air Raid Shelter, which linked to their history learning. 🤩

📢PSA! 📢 Blackley Community Hub is offering a variety of activities and drop-in sessions for the month of April! Please make sure to spread the word and join in, if you can. 🥰💙💛

As always, are running their Easter holiday club at our school and spaces are limited! There will be a free lunch provided for all children along with lots of fun activities including Easter egg competitions, egg hunts and chocolate goodies! Make sure to book on asap, if you haven’t already, to avoid disappointment. The club is running from Tuesday 7th April - Friday 10th April. 😎

Y5 had the best time on their trip to The Manchester Museum! The trip was linked to their history learning unit about Ancient Egypt. The children were able to look at and touch ancient Egyptian artificats and they also had an opportunity to learn about a real Egyptian mummy! They were very lucky to be able to see the mummy as she might be moved back to Egypt! How amazing?! 📜🤩

Nursery had a wonderful time on their trip to Smithills Farm! The children were fortunate to enjoy lovely weather, which made the day even more special. It was a fantastic opportunity for them to engage with nature and learn about farm life in an enjoyable setting. 🐐🐴🐎🦙

💙💛Our Student Council continued their amazing intergenerational project! They collaborated with the residents to create drawings and paintings of the local area using watercolours. Their artwork featured Heaton Park, Blackley Forest and our school itself. The residents remarked on how wonderful the children were and expressed their anticipation for the sessions, with one resident stating that it was the most joyful time of her year so far. We are SO pleased to hear. 🥰💙💛

🌟 The Great British Spring Clean! 🌟We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported our school’s Great British Spring Clean. 🥰 Your participation made a significant difference, and it was wonderful to see our community come together to enhance our school environment while having fun.
The litter picking event was a great success, and the children thoroughly enjoyed their time outdoors. 💙💛

Year 4 enjoyed their trip to Glenbrook Church for the Easter experience. They listened to the Easter story and participated in a variety of activities. 💙💛

Success outside of school! One of our pupils in Y5 earned two medals for hitting her milestones in swimming! 🏊‍♀️ Well done and keep it up! 🤩 We are so proud of you. 💙💛
