Springboard Project Supports Macmillan Coffee Morning

We are delighted to share that, thanks to the generosity and support of our school community, we raised £156.99 for the Macmillan Coffee Morning.

The event was a fantastic example of everyone coming together for a great cause. Our staff generously baked a variety of delicious treats, while parents and carers kindly donated cakes, biscuits and other baked goodies to help make the morning a success.

We are especially proud of our students, who all took part in supporting the event. From helping to set up and serve refreshments to ensuring that donations were carefully collected and accounted for, they demonstrated excellent teamwork, responsibility and community spirit throughout the day.

Macmillan Cancer Support provides invaluable help to people living with cancer and their families, and we are pleased that our fundraising contribution will help support their important work.

A huge thank you to all staff, students, parents and carers who baked, donated, volunteered and contributed to the event. Your kindness and generosity made a real difference, and we are incredibly grateful for your support.

Together, we raised £156.99 for a truly worthwhile cause. Thank you!

Creativity was flowing at Doodlepots Holiday Club today! Our students had a fantastic time painting their very own pottery masterpieces, expressing themselves through colour, imagination and creativity.

It was wonderful to see so many smiles, growing confidence and unique designs coming to life. We can't wait to see the finished creations!

✨ This Is Me - writing competition ✨

Huge congratulations to Sarah for winning first place and Millie for her highly commended entry in the KS4 category of the 'This is Me' writing competition.
Students from all ten schools across New Bridge MAT entered the competition to win the opportunity to have their work published in an e-book. 📖

Judges described Sarah's entry as "a powerful, moving and beautifully written reflection on resilience and self-discovery". They were particularly impressed with her vivid use of imagery and stated that her inspirational phrases such as "I learned that I wasn't broken, I was surviving" made this an "unforgettable piece of writing".

Millie's entry was described as "a courageous and deeply personal reflection on loss, identity and self-acceptance."
The staff at Springboard are incredibly proud of the journeys that all our students undertake while they are with us. We are thrilled that Sarah and Millie's hard work and resilience is being celebrated (and published!) by the This Is Me competition.

🏅 Sports Day 2026 🏃⚽🎉

What a fantastic Sports Day! It was great to see so many students getting involved, taking part, and showing brilliant sportsmanship throughout the day.
A huge well done to everyone who competed, cheered on their friends, and helped make the event such a success. The enthusiasm, determination, and team spirit on display were amazing to see.

One of the highlights of the day was the Staff vs Students football match. Despite the staff putting up a good fight, the students came out on top this year!

⚽🏆 Congratulations to the students on a well-deserved victory.

Thank you to everyone who took part and helped make the day so enjoyable. We’re already looking forward to next year! 😊

🤔✏️ Can you recognise them? As part of our staff quiz, one round challenged teams to guess which teacher had been drawn by a student. The results were hilarious, creative, and in some cases, remarkably accurate!

The boys receiving their results, I just want to say how very proud I am of all of them, as they have put in a lot of effort over the year :🤩

Some of them many not of got what they wanted but they really have tried their best and I am extremely proud, and know they will go on to great things with their futures after Springboard :☺️

It was also a great privilege to be asked by one of my students to attend his open day at his new music college with him. Even when we arrived I asked him if he wanted me to step to one side whilst he carried on, and he insisted that I went through every step with him 🤗

I know he is going to go ahead and create some amazing music and be successful in his career.

To all of SPT2, I will greatly miss the laughs, the tears, the ups and the downs, the silliness and the fun. I will miss guiding you through your education as well as life happenings. Not only did I get the chance to teach you all, but you all taught me new life lessons too.

Thank you for this year and go show everyone else just how amazing I know you all are, big love Miss Ainsworth ❤️
