Affirmation prayer helps to overcomes self-doubts and helps one to become positive instead.

It’s based on declaring who you are in Christ, what He is to you, your position in Him, your rights & blessings. It’s about empowering yourself so that you can go in the strength of that to achieve as you should.

It’s about speaking positively to yourself. And the more you reinforce this feeling on a conspicuous level, then the more your subconscious begins to pick up on it.

This process will help you to build faith in your God given abilities and in God who gave you the grace and the ability. As you make this a habit, in time, you realise that you have the ability to be the person you truly want to be.

Affirmation instructions, before you start:

1. Write down your goals for 2020- God has promised that your expectations shall not be cut off because the desire of the righteous shall be granted…..

Proverbs 10:24 “but the desire of the righteous shall be granted…,

when we trust in the Lord, we should believe that daily, God will load us with His many benefits -Psalm 68:19

Eph. 3:20 “Now unto Him that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think according to the Power that worketh in us”

Psalm 27:13, “I had fainted, unless I had believed too see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living”

Expect something good and believe God that it will happen as you affirm an and declare.

2. Go through your goals daily and be positive about achieving them.

3. Do something daily towards achieving your goals.

4. Do not allow any negative words out of your mouth nor allow accept any negative words from someone.

IDENTITY-

One of the biggest problems facing an average born-again Christian is that of IDENTITY.

Unfortunately, this problem stems from the lack of knowledge about the Godhead and our position within the Godhead family.

Jesus was concerned about his follower’s knowledge on him.

In Matthew 16:15, He asked His disciples….But whom say ye that I am?. This was important for him to know what His disciples knew about Him. He heard what others said He was, but was more concerned to know about what knowledge His followers knew about Him.

To fully know our place and our position in Christ Jesus, we have to understand who Jesus Christ is. Our identity comes from His identity. It is from that position of identity that we stand to affirm who we are in Him.

Now, here’s the thing…

Each of us are like a piece of a jigsaw puzzle, placed on planet earth to fulfil the general purpose of God and every part of this puzzle is important to achieve the whole goal of God for the earth.

So it is important that we play our part. Jesus illustrated this when he talked about the body having different parts, the arms are important, the legs are important, the eyes and so on.
Although, each have different functions, but when they are put together, they represent the full body.

Each body part has got to know it's role in the plan of God. It is for this reason, we are doing this series on purpose and we are committed to working with you to ensure that you discover who you, your role/s are, so that you can find satisfaction in life.

Hello Friends,

it is great to connect with you again in chasing our purpose. I want you to know that you are so important to our generation and you have a specific assignment which only you can accomplish. You are also a part of the body of Christ and are called into a general purpose of glorifying our father who is in heaven.

Therefore, to know your specific purpose, you must first know and be engage in the believer's general purpose and in the process, God will begin to reveal your purpose to you.

Be filled: You are a fruit-bearing seed, so producing fruit is not an option but an expectation from our Father.

Multiply: A tree does not just produce one fruit, an apple tree does not have just one apple on the tree but many. We are created to advance, increase and improve. This also is not an option but an expectation.

Fill the Earth: We are to make an impact with our lives so much so that we leave a dent. The aroma of our fragrance/life should be perceived by all around us.

Dominate: We have inbuild in us the ability to dominate and that is why God gave Adam the power to name the animals that He created, hence teaching us that we are in charge. Dominate does not mean controlling, but the ability to know who you are and to take charge of your environment. Every one of us has the power on the inside to do so.

Difference between talent, skills and Gifts.

In my 30 years plus of being in leadership, I have come across many who:
- Are talented and skilful but do not notice it themselves
- People who perhaps have acknowledged their talents and skills but have down-played their God-given abilities
A lot of the time, this is due to several things:
- They feel they are not needed
- It is not as important as joe blog's talent
- They are not good enough to be presented to the world.

You see, you are wrong, your talents and skills are so needed in your family, community and the wider society. I want to encourage you to begin to list the things you are good at. Don't put too much thought when doing this, just brain storm. Also list all your skills, you will be surprise what a piece of genius you.

Growth in personal character, spiritual holiness, business etc are largely determined by our progress in self-discipline. Without this foundational discipline, there can be no advancement in grace.

Before other disciplines can be administered, whether in the home, business, or church, there first must be self-discipline. This is an important character that will help us to focus on our dreams, vision and calling.

This is one of the areas I focus on in my prayers presently as my work load increases. And, admittedly, personal discipline is not a popular subject today. In our society, any insistence upon self-discipline is largely resisted, even among many Christians.

Legalism, they cry, defending their rights of Christian liberty. Believers nowadays, want their freedom to serve God as they like and not according to God’s standard. Hence, the looseness we find in the body of Christ today.
