Do any of our parents or community have a Catholic Bible in Polish that they do not need any more? We have an English and Urdu Bible we would be grateful for any others in the first language of any families. Thank you in advance.
As I see adverts for back to school items I wanted to remind you that rucksacks are NOT allowed in school. They do not fit inside the lockers and create a health and safety hazard. Please do not waste your money on buying a rucksack as we will not be able to accommodate them in school. Reception children have very kindly been bought a book bag by Friends of SJSB and for those needing a replacement higher up the school, any book bag can be used (doesn’t have to be a school one).

Our ‘Shed full of love’ uniform swap shop will be open Monday 4th and Tuesday 5th September if you can donate or use any pre loved uniform

We have been asked by Friends of SJSB to create a school wish list on Amazon for the things we would love to have but do not have the budget for. On the list there is a mixture of items, things for displays, things for a treat, things for our collective worship and items for our Year 6 Leavers celebrations. If can help we would be very grateful.

Please could you take a minute to vote for our Red Door centre in Bury as The Rock Bury charity of the year?
It only takes a minute to vote, but would make a huge difference to the people we support.
Thanks so much.

After 10 years of dedicated service to St. Joseph and St. Bede, Mr. Goddard is hanging up his sports shoes and teaching assistant magic cloak for his well deserved retirement. We want to thank him for all he has done for the community of SJSB especially in sport- he will be greatly missed!
If you have any messages that you would like to share we will make sure he sees them all.
Thank you Mr. Goddard, guided by Christ, you enabled us to DREAM for greatness in our learning,
BELIEVE in our unique talents and gifts, being guardians of life and creation and to ACHIEVE a
better world by living life the full.
Once SJSB always SJSB.
We are absolutely delighted with our new vision boards. Myro Doodles turned our ideas into this amazing artwork. The children and staff generated ideas for each word in our motto Dream-Believe-Achieve and Myto worked her magic.
We are trying to revamp our younger children’s library and shared area and would love to display some of their work, books, library books, models on something natural like these shelves. Is there anyone who would donate some or something like this to us?

Thank you to everyone who donated items for our outdoor STEM area. As you can see the children are putting it to good use. What an amazing change to lunchtimes.
‘Pioneering primary school’. We always strive to give our pupils the best opportunities and are very fortunate to have such dedicated staff who are foward facing.

"I’ve been astounded at how much the students have loved the 3D printing program over the last four months"
Teaching staff at St. Joseph and St. Bede R.C. Primary School in Bury accessed a 3D printing course through the Group plc's and 3D 360 which helps to develop skills in adaptive technologies and gives them the edge when delivering lessons across the schools STEM curriculum.
Here are some feedback from the Headteacher Jane Myerscough.

Can you help? We are looking for donations of items like in the photos. This would be used to structure lunchtimes for our older children. They will be able to free build and let their creativity run wild. Any pipes, guttering, milk creates, tarpaulins, ropes, wooden planks and anything they could use to build. We have a lot of tyres but would love to create our new playtime area.
Any donations can be dropped off at school next week whilst we are off and we would be very very grateful. They can just be left by the school sign in the grad.
We had an AMAZING night what an experience!
We are so proud that we have been awarded the GOLD level of the National SMSC QualityMark for the SECOND time!
Does anyone work in or know someone who works somewhere that might donate some takeaway coffee cups and lids? We would love to host an event to give parents a warm drink during mental health week and have a chat before work. COFFEE - CAKE - CHAT.
Chesham Fold residents - contact Chesham Fold TRA if you’re in need of some winter warmers for the kids!
