This week’s provision was focused on Zog, composition of 5 and our writing book focus Star in the Jar. The children absolutely loved searching for the star all week and playing with the small world area!

today’s to do list consisted of putting up my two displays around the school. The brief was “anything you want” so I chose to display our lovely self portraits we did in the first week of term and our work on the colour monster and feelings. I absolutely love how they’ve turned out 🥰

after school today I managed to get my “Our Work” display. Yesterday I asked all the children to draw a picture of themselves without any prompts or input from me. I love doing this at different times throughout the year to look at the children’s progress. Here’s our Autumn portraits 🍄🌿

and we’re back...
but I’m in a new school, a different year group (Year 1) and starting my last three months as a student teacher! My topic for the term is: Plants, Trees and Flowers and well if you know me then you know there is not a topic I love more! I have claimed Art as my own for the next few terms and I’m SO excited to teach my first ever art lesson tomorrow!! My class seems absolutely lovely and I can’t wait for them to realise how obsessed I am with plants and Van Gogh tomorrow!! 🌻🎨

I’ve been quite absent on this account whilst engaging with the university period of my PCGE ~ as you can expect with any students, those deadlines are ever looming and approaching fast !! I’ve had quite a few new followers recently so hello 👋🏻 This is me on a day I’ve had sleep and a good amount of coffee ☕️
I’ve recently received my allocation for my last teaching placement before qualifying (!!) and although it’s quite the travelling time and distance, I’m thinking of how I can use the travel time productively and I’m over the moon to be placed in year 1. Although at heart I know I’m all about early years, I’m looking forward to becoming more familiar with the year one curriculum and focusing on the transition between reception and year one.
Over the next few weeks I do have an assignment deadline so my head will be in the books; whether that’s reading the book or sleeping on it, who knows 🤷🏼♀️
What does everyone else have planned for the next few weeks? ✨🧡

Hello!
Just a quick update for the grown-ups; just what to expect from 'Miss Buley' over the next month or so.
I've got one week of my placement left (!!) before I'm stuck with hours of teams meetings for four weeks. So I've got some time on my hands to make some videos for your little ones. Please comment / message me any suggestions or ideas that you have that will be benefical for you and others.
I've made albums: story time, phonics, maths and getting creative. All of my videos will be uploaded into the according folder over the next few hours and will make it easier for you to nagivate around my page and find a video to chuck on that suits you and your child/ren.
Thank you for all the feedback on this page so far - it has been so heartwarming and I hope everyone is doing okay in this prolonged weird time.
