✨MY WHY✨

Why do I do what I do?

My day job is in engineering and I really do enjoy it. Although there is a degree of inventiveness in engineering, I really needed another outlet for my creativity.

I had been thinking about starting a business for quite some time (I had even started to set up my Etsy shop) and then the uncertainty of covid hit.

People were losing their jobs and being furloughed which made me feel like all of my eggs were in one basket. I decided that relying on a single source of income was no longer a smart move for me.

This gave me the drive to really start pushing my store on the side (probably a bit mental in the height of lockdown, alongside homeschooling and a full time job 🙈). My long term goal is to be in a position to drop some hours at work and spend more time with my family ♥️.

So far I’ve made over 800 sales on Etsy and had the privilege to work with some truly amazing customers from around the world. I’m absolutely LOVING the journey!

Hello! I think that it’s about time that I introduced myself to all our new followers.

I’m Alison, creator and owner of Wise Woman Prints. I’m a mum to three gorgeous children and wife to my wonderful husband. We have two crazy spaniels and I’m very proud to call Manchester, UK my home.

At the moment, you will find me spending my Saturday nights catching up on The Masked Singer with my family. We still don’t know who everybody is, so no spoilers please!

I like to relax by crafting. I’ll have a go at anything from knitting and sewing to junk crafts with the kids. I also love my newest gadget, my Cricut!

My guilty pleasure is that I secretly love all of the soundtracks from the movies that my kids watch. You can find me belting out “let it go” or “you’re welcome” while I’m cleaning or driving 🤣. Zootopia is great for jogging too 🤷🏻‍♀️. Try it!
