I can’t quite believe I get to share this… but the Essay Checker hub on the SBE website has just been expanded — and it now includes support for GCSE English, KS2 SATs Writing and KS2 GPS.

What started as a tiny idea in a notebook has grown into a full suite of tools designed to help students, families, and teachers feel more confident, more supported, and more prepared in the chaos of exam season.

Every checker is built with clarity, kindness, and accessibility at its core. No jargon, no overwhelm, just simple guidance that helps young people understand what “good” looks like and how to get there.

I’ll be adding more resources and tools in the new year, but for now… I’m just taking a moment to bring in the new year with my big one. Little one, Daddy and furries are snoozing, so the Lion and I are cuddling up on the sofa with Christmas lights and New Year fireworks.
