I rose today early to a chilly land. I watched the MidWinter Sun poke its head through the low level cloud and thought magnificent thoughts. A glorious morning on the Malvern hill, bright and crisp. Of course, for the Norse, the MidWinter solstice brings thoughts of Hela but also of the return of Baldr. Hail Sol, Hail Baldr and Hail to you - wishing you a wonderful Yule-tide.

Just working on numerous things today and listening to spotify, Peter Gabriel's Solsbury Hill made its way to my ears. Always makes me stop and catch my breath due to the Shamanic nature of the song - enjoy

Climbing up on Solsbury Hill I could see the city light,
Wind was blowing, time stood still, Eagle flew out of the night,
He was something to observe came in close, I heard a voice,
Standing stretching every nerve, I had to listen, had no choice.

I did not believe the information just had to trust imagination.

"Son," he said, "Grab your things, I've come to take you home" - Hey, back home

To keep in silence I resigned my friends would think I was a nut,
Turning water into wine, open doors would soon be shut,
So I went from day to day though my life was in a rut,
'Til I thought of what I'd say, which connection I should cut.

When illusion spin her net I'm never where I want to be,
And liberty she pirouette when I think that I am free,
Watched by empty silhouettes who close their eyes but still can see,
No one taught them etiquette - I will show another me.

Today I don't need a replacement,
I'll tell them what the smile on my face meant,
My heart going boom, boom, boom,
"Hey," I said, "You can keep my things, they've come to take me home"

Runes were never just marks on wood or stone - they were living sounds. Each rune carries a vibration, a resonance that shapes intention and the space around us. Long before physics spoke of frequency and waveforms, the old seers knew: sound is a fundamental force in the universe.

When we chant or carve a rune, we’re not just creating meaning - we are aligning with the pulse of creation itself. In many 'creation stories', we find sound. For instance, the Christian mythos comprised 'the word' or primeval sound.

The Norse cosmology also comprises Ymir's cry which still echo's through our very being. The voyage through the runes tells of creation, of sounds and vibrations. Every rune echoes with cosmic vibrations.

A tree is a tree right? well it all depends on the tree in question. A Tree of Fate under the ground, is this Yggdrasil or a tree that came before it?
