Founder/Owner/CEO of Neuro-Stitch Neurospicy Clothing!

My name is Heidi, and I am a life, workplace strategy & ADHD/AuDHD Coach - with ADHD based in the UK! Alongside my Emotional Wellbeing Support Officer - Sooty (My neurospicy sausage pup) I provide virtual support to help you understand & work with your neurospicy brain! Being a late diagnosed, millennial woman, I am working on bridging the gap between late diagnosis and living your best life with your new found neurospicy brain knowledge! Finding out that I have ADHD at 29 Years old changed my life completely! Before I was in a constant cycle of overwhelm & burnout, feeling stuck, lacking confidence and feeling miserable! I thought I was lazy, and couldn't understand why I was 'struggling' all the time to just live my life & be happy - and experiencing low confidence, mental health challenges and somedays I couldn't leave the house! Once diagnosed, I found there was a huge gap in support & understanding to help people start living and working with their neurospicy brain! The positive transformation it had on my life changed the game for me... and I had to help other people just like me to do the same! So if you want support from someone who gets it... I am your girl! I founded my business to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for neurodivergent individuals. Our mission is to provide the necessary support to help you transition from 'Fear to Thrive' and bridge the gap between late diagnosis and learning to navigate life with your unique neurodivergent mind. CONFESSIONS OF AN ADHD COACH
This new blog and newsletter will be a space where I open up about my experiences, the highs and lows, and the reality of living with ADHD—even as an ADHD coach. You’ve saved the reels.
Bought the planner.
Made the lists.
Downloaded the app.
Set the alarms.

You KNOW about body doubling, dopamine, timers, habit stacking and breaking tasks down…

So why are you still struggling to actually DO the bloody thing? 😩

This is something I see all the time in ADHD coaching.

Because knowing lots of ADHD strategies and knowing what actually works for YOUR brain are two very different things.

Maybe we need to investigate:

🕵️ What’s actually stopping you from starting?
🕵️ Is it boring, unclear, overwhelming or just too bloody big?
🕵️ Do you need urgency, accountability, novelty or fewer decisions?
🕵️ Are you trying to use a strategy that simply doesn’t suit you?

This is why my coaching isn’t about giving you another list of ADHD hacks.

We investigate. Collect clues. Connect the dots.

Because ultimately, I don’t want you to leave coaching thinking:

“Heidi knows how to manage my ADHD.”

I want you thinking:

“I understand MY brain and I know what to try when I get stuck.” 💛

That’s how we start building your own ADHD You-Ser Manual.

If you’re late-diagnosed and thinking “I understand ADHD… but I still don’t know how to make MY life work” — this is exactly the work I do.

💌 DM me “DETECTIVE” and I’ll send you the details of my 1:1 ADHD coaching.

I’ve been a little quieter for the last few weeks.

I’m tired. My nervous system has been LOUD. My social battery has been pretty non-existent. And my ADHD brain has needed a little less… everything. 😂

But I’m okay. 💛

I’m just being really intentional about where my energy goes right now.

I’m protecting my peace, spending lots of time with Sooty, and making sure I have enough capacity for the things I do want to keep going — my work, my clients, getting outside for walks, eating well and generally looking after myself.

And that means some other things have gone a little quieter.

I think past me would’ve worried about that.
Why aren’t I doing more? Why don’t I want to socialise? Why am I not keeping up with everything?

Current me is trying to recognise it for what it is:

My brain asking for less demand.

So I’m listening.

I’m not disappearing. I’m not giving up on anything. I’m just in a slightly quieter season while I recharge. 🌱

And I know there’ll be a point where I feel more socially charged again and I’ll actually want more noise, people and plans.

For now though?

This. Sooty cuddles. Work I love. Walks. Looking after myself. And protecting my bloody peace. 😂💛

What does your brain start asking for when your battery is running low?

New here? Hi 👋 I’m Heidi — and you’ve landed in the corner of Instagram where we ask “but WHY does my brain do that?” a lot. 🔎😂

If you have ADHD and life + work seem to feel so much bloody harder than they should, you’re very much in the right place.

I’m a Life + ADHD Coach and the founder of Neuro-Stitch, and my approach is all about helping you become your own ADHD Detective 🔎

Because knowing you have ADHD and actually understanding YOUR ADHD are two very different things.

Around here, we get curious about the stuff that leaves you stuck, overwhelmed, frustrated or wondering why you can’t just do the thing.

We talk executive functioning, RSD, overwhelm, boundaries, masking, people pleasing, ADHD at work, energy, burnout and all those little “OH… THAT’S WHY I DO THAT” moments. 💡

And I’m not here to give you another list of things you should be doing.

I want to help you understand what’s happening underneath the struggle, collect the clues and find ways of doing life + work that actually fit your brain.

There’ll also be plenty of honesty, humour, behind-the-scenes Heidi chaos and probably an appearance or 700 from Sooty. 🐶

So whether you’ve just found me or you’ve been lurking here for years…

Hi. Welcome to Neuro-Stitch. 💛

A dog walk in the rain. Wet hair. A protein-filled breakfast. And a little bit of quiet before the working day begins. 🌧️🐶☕️

Now, full disclosure… not every morning looks like this. 😂

I’m a late-diagnosed ADHDer and an ADHD Coach — and I still have to actively work with my brain every single day.

I’ve learnt that prioritising my wellbeing isn’t an optional extra. For me, getting some movement, eating a decent breakfast (especially protein!) and having a little quiet before the demands of the day begin can make SUCH a difference to how I feel and function.

And yes, these are strategies I know.

I’ve had coaching myself.
I literally coach other ADHDers for a living.

And I still have to practise them.

Because ADHD isn’t something you learn enough about and eventually “fix”.

You learn your brain.
You notice the clues. 🕵️‍♀️
You figure out what helps.
You adapt when something stops helping.
And sometimes you completely ignore everything you know and wonder why you feel like s**t. 😂

It’s management, not mastery.

And I think that’s something we need to talk about more. 💛

Just a little ADHD Coach call-out for anyone who needs it today… 👀💛

You are NOT too busy to book that health appointment.
Or the dentist.
Or the eye test.
Or the haircut that makes you feel more like yourself.
Or whatever else you’ve been quietly putting off because everything else feels more important.

In my case - the Osteopath….

I know, I know…

“I’ll do it when work calms down.”
“I haven’t got time this week.”
“Other people need me.”
“It’s not that urgent.”

And then somehow three months have passed. 😂

For ADHDers, looking after ourselves can become another executive-function task: remember the thing, find the number, make the decision, actually book it, put it in the calendar, attend it…

Add people-pleasing, caring responsibilities, work, life admin and limited capacity, and our own needs can very quickly become the negotiable ones.

But you cannot continuously function with everyone else’s needs sitting above your own.

Self-care isn’t only spa days and switching your phone off.

Sometimes self-care is booking the bloody appointment you’ve been avoiding. (Especially those important, sometimes unpleasant health check ups!)

So consider this your reminder:

📱 Pick ONE thing you’ve been putting off.
📅 Book it.
✅ Done.

It doesn’t need to be a full life overhaul! Just one bit of messy action that tells Future You:

“Your needs matter too.” 💛

I think this is something we miss when we talk about ADHD.

We look at the thing we’re struggling with and immediately ask:

“Why can’t I do this?”

Why can’t I concentrate?
Why can’t I start?
Why am I suddenly overwhelmed?
Why has something I normally manage become impossible?

But ADHD doesn’t exist in a vacuum.

My executive functions are also trying to work with whatever else is happening in my life.

Work. Pain. Fatigue. Hormones. Relationships. Decisions. Sensory input. Life admin. Emotions. Uncertainty. The 47 tabs currently open in my head.

And sometimes the strategy that worked perfectly well last week suddenly doesn’t touch the sides.

That doesn’t necessarily mean the strategy failed.

Maybe my capacity changed.

That’s why I’m far more interested in asking “what’s going on here?” than “what’s wrong with me?”

🕵️ What changed?
🕵️ What am I carrying?
🕵️ What’s using my brain space?
🕵️ What does my brain need today?

Because ADHD is situational and needs context to help us know where to start figuring things out.

Sometimes getting unstuck starts with understanding the conditions your brain is trying to function in — rather than trying to force it to function harder.

Collect the clues. Connect the dots. Then find the right strategy for you. 💛

One of my ADHD coaching clients has completely overhauled how she manages her working day.

The groundbreaking piece of technology responsible?

A whiteboard. 😂

But here’s the thing… It’s not really about the whiteboard.

We found a tool that works with HER brain.

🧠 It acts as a second brain — tasks aren’t floating around in her head trying not to be forgotten.

📏 The physical size gives her a natural boundary. If there isn’t room, that’s a pretty good clue she’s trying to commit to too much.

🎯 It helps her visually prioritise what actually needs doing TODAY rather than being confronted by one enormous never-ending task list.

✨ She adds something she’s looking forward to that evening — a little visual reminder that her day contains more than work.

🧽 And at the end of the day?

She wipes it clean.

A tangible, cathartic “work is finished now.”

Before she does, she leaves a little hangover note for Future Her — where she got to, what’s still important and what she needs to pick up tomorrow.

So tomorrow’s brain doesn’t have to reconstruct yesterday’s brain from scratch. 😂

And when she told me about it?

She literally couldn’t stop smiling.

THIS is why I love being an ADHD & Workplace Strategy Coach.

Not because I have a secret cupboard full of magical ADHD hacks.

And I’m definitely not telling every ADHDer to go and buy a whiteboard now. 😂

It’s about getting curious.
What’s creating friction?
What does YOUR brain struggle to hold? What makes something easier to see, start, prioritise or stop?
What boundaries does your brain need externally because they’re difficult to hold internally?

Then we experiment until something clicks.

Sometimes that might be an app.

Sometimes it’s body doubling.

Sometimes it’s changing how you structure your day.

And sometimes…it’s a bloody whiteboard. 😂💛

And seeing somebody realise “OH. This actually works for me!”?

That’s the good stuff. 🥹

What’s one ridiculously simple thing that makes your brain’s life easier?
