Keeping your dogโ€™s mind active is just as important as keeping their body moving! ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿง ๐Ÿ’•

Dogs love to learn, explore and solve little challenges. Try hiding treats around the house, using puzzle toys, teaching new tricks, practising scent games, or simply changing up your walking route. ๐Ÿพ

A mentally stimulated dog is often a happier, calmer and more content dog. And the best part? You get to have fun together! โค๏ธ

Whatโ€™s your dogโ€™s favourite brain game? ๐Ÿ•๐Ÿ‘‡

๐Ÿพ Have you heard of Barn Hunt? ๐Ÿ€๐Ÿถ

If your dog loves sniffing, searching, exploring and using their brain, then Barn Hunt could be their new favourite activity! โค๏ธ

Barn Hunt is a fun dog sport where your dog uses their natural hunting instincts and incredible sense of smell to search through a maze of hay bales and find hidden tubes containing rats. ๐Ÿ€

And donโ€™t worry โ€” the rats are safely contained in the tubes and we donโ€™t use live rats. The focus is all about your dog using their nose, working things out and having fun!

โœจ Why try Barn Hunt?
๐Ÿ• Great for all sorts of dogs โ€” big, small, young or older
๐Ÿ‘ƒ Builds confidence and encourages natural scenting skills
๐Ÿง  Provides fantastic mental stimulation
โค๏ธ A brilliant way to strengthen the bond between you and your dog

You might be surprised at just how much your dog enjoys having a job to do!

We showed everyone at Tractorfest what Barn Hunt was all about!

Little Skipper came to me at a time I really needed him most. I had just lost Nyx and my life was based around ensuring he had what he needed to live his best life. With diabetes being a major part of his final years it was a daily routine we got into and when that was stripped away I felt like I lost my purpose.
Skipper fell into my life at the right time and was the perfect fit. Nyx 100% sent him to me knowing how much we needed each other and Skipper has been my way to healing โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿฉน

Do you have a story like mine? Do you believe you get the dog you need?

๐Ÿพ Australian Shepherd: Smart, Energetic & Incredibly Loyal! ๐Ÿพ

The Australian Shepherd is a beautiful, intelligent and hard-working breed with a huge personality! โค๏ธ

๐Ÿง  Highly intelligent: Aussies are quick learners and love having something to focus their minds on.
๐Ÿƒ Full of energy: They thrive on exercise, adventures, games and activities that keep them busy.
๐Ÿ‘ Born to work: Originally developed as herding dogs, they have strong instincts and love having a job to do.
โค๏ธ Loyal & devoted: Australian Shepherds often form incredibly strong bonds with their families.
๐ŸŽพ Always up for an adventure: From hiking and agility to playing fetch or learning new tricks, they love being involved!

Australian Shepherds arenโ€™t typically suited to a sedentary lifestyle. They need plenty of physical exercise, mental stimulation, training and interaction to stay happy and well-balanced. They can be rather vocal, instincts to push a herd on can come out during play or excitement and they can be very talkative compared to other breeds in the herding category.

But give an Aussie the time, attention and activity they need, and youโ€™ll have an enthusiastic, affectionate and wonderfully loyal companion by your side. ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿ’•

Are you an Australian Shepherd owner? Whatโ€™s your favourite thing about this amazing breed? ๐Ÿ‘‡

๐Ÿพ Donโ€™t forget those paws! ๐Ÿพ

Your dogโ€™s paws work hard every day, so keeping them in good condition is an important part of their overall health and comfort. โค๏ธ

โœ‚๏ธ Trim those nails โ€“ Overgrown nails can affect the way your dog walks, putting extra strain on their toes, joints and posture. Keeping them at a healthy length helps them move comfortably.

๐Ÿถ Keep the paw hair tidy โ€“ Excess hair between the pads can collect dirt, mud and moisture, and can become uncomfortable or matted. Keeping it neatly trimmed also helps with airflow and can help your dog stay more comfortable in warmer weather.

๐Ÿพ Look after those pads โ€“ Paw pads can become dry, cracked or sore, especially after lots of walking on hot, rough or icy surfaces. Regularly checking them means you can spot any problems early and keep those little pads in good nick.

๐Ÿ”Ž A quick paw check as part of your regular grooming routine can make a big difference. Look for cracks, redness, swelling, foreign objects or anything that seems unusual.

Happy paws = happy dogs! ๐Ÿ•๐Ÿ’•
