Our first stick insect has hatched this morning! Now what should we call him? The children have waited so patiently as the eggs take a couple months to hatch.

What a lovely way to end our half-term week 🌊☀️
Today we enjoyed a day in Folkestone, exploring the pebbles, paddling in the sea, and taking in the fresh sea air together. Outings like these give children the opportunity to explore the world around them, build confidence, develop social skills, and learn through real-life experiences and play.
One of the many joys of childminding is being able to provide these enriching experiences in a smaller, home-from-home setting, creating special memories along the way 🥰 ❤️

Today’s adventure was visiting the Kent Firefighting Museum. We had a great time exploring a real fire engine, having a look through the museum and ringing the bell, and of course enjoying a play in the park and a picnic. What a fabulous end to our busy week! 🥰

My heart is so full writing this 💛
A huge congratulations to Samantha Beech at on her nomination for the Early Years Setting of the Year award—so incredibly well deserved!
What started as a connection through childminding has blossomed into a truly special friendship—sharing ideas, supporting each other, and even our families have come together for many adventurous days out.
Sam is such a strong voice for childminders, always championing our profession with passion and pride, and inspiring so many of us along the way.
I feel so honoured to know her, let alone to call her one of my dearest friends and I simply couldn’t be prouder 💫

It’s been a week full of outdoor play- soaking up the sun and enjoying our time with each other. From exploring Playdough, rolling cars on ramps and manoeuvring climbing equipment- the learning hasn’t stopped for these Mini Marvels ✨

Planting flower cuttings into Playdough 🌸 Exploring textures, scents and colours while strengthening little hands with rolling pins. A lovely opportunity to practise turn-taking, sharing space and learning together. ✨
