The final session of the Fit4Life Summer Programme 2026! (So much fun we hardly had time to capture ๐น๐ธ) What a fantastic 6 weeks we have had.
Focus this week = ๐ซ ๐ Back to school feelings /๐ณ worries and new beginnings
โ
As always the session had Confidence Building-Movement-Fun- Music- Education- Arts&Craft- Creativity & Mindfulness
๐ฃ We started with a recall of our favourite memories over the summer holidays and how they made us feel
๐ต This sessions movement games featured all our favourite from over the last 6 sessions to have the most fun. Some of the big contenders were bib tag, tag variations, number clusters then progressed with sums, coyboys & indans & balance games.
All high energy fun games that can be carried out at home with family & friends or in the playground. These consist of the fundamental movement skills-running, jumping, skipping, throwing & hopping.
๐ We then discussed about positive affirmations and how they make us feel. Each child picked their own to take away and put on their mirror at home to recite everyday ๐๐ช โI can do great thingsโ
๐ข For arts & craft we designed our own photo frames for back to school photos or a photo of their favourite summer memory. It was so lovely to watch all the creativity skills come to life and something special to take away ๐ผ๏ธ
๐ก Next up was exploring those last minute feelings for back to school again and overcoming some new changes or challenges including family life, classroom changes or dynamics, travel via bus and changes in friendships or peer behaviours.
๐ดWe finished with a some guided meditation recaps and the tools we used over the programme to help with big emotions and worries. How the power of the breath can promote self regulation โ๏ธ
๐ช One last minute request was the parachute game shouting out our positive affirmations before movement
โผ๏ธ๐ Finallyโฆ. Thank you to all the wonderful families who supported me and Fit4life this summer. It was also very special for my own young children to be part of the work I do in promoting healthy habits for health, life and wellbeing and promoting the holistic development for all children.
