Eco Awards! 🥳

We were absolutely delighted to attend the annual Eco‑Schools Award Ceremony — and even more delighted to announce that our school has been awarded the prestigious Green Flag for another year.
This achievement represents a tremendous amount of dedication, planning and ongoing effort. It simply would not be possible without the commitment and drive of Mrs Hawthorne, our outstanding Eco Co‑ordinator, and her leadership of the school Eco Committee.
A huge well done to both Mrs Hawthorne and all the pupils on our Eco Committee for their hard work throughout the year in “Educating, Engaging and Empowering” everyone across our school and wider community.
This award is a powerful reflection of our ongoing commitment to creating a safe, sustainable environment for all our children.

🌟 Sports Day Success at Tobermore PS! 🌟

What a fantastic Sports Day we had! We are absolutely delighted with how smoothly the whole event ran, and even more relieved that the weather was kind to us so every race could go ahead as planned. The smiles said it all.
A huge thank you to everyone who came along to cheer on the boys and girls — your encouragement, enthusiasm and positivity made the day even more special.
It was wonderful to welcome Tober Tinys, who joined us to share in the fun and added to the lovely atmosphere.
Well done to all our parents, carers, grandparents and family friends who bravely took part in the races and gave it their all. You were brilliant and provided plenty of entertainment for the children.
A special thank you to Linda in Spar Tobermore for the banners, medals, crisps and water bottles. The children were thrilled with these treats and felt very proud wearing their medals.
Lastly, and most importantly, well done to our amazing children. Their effort, resilience, teamwork and sporting talent shone through from start to finish. They did us all proud — a real credit to themselves and to our school community.
They embodied our school motto so well ‘Together We Learn, Together We Achieve, Together We Celebrate’

🤡 The day is fast approaching, the clowns are at the ready and the wheels are being oiled!! 🤡
Could all clown coupons and money be returned to school this week as soon as possible to prepare for the Raffle on Friday night. Great prizes to be won.

Diabetes Awareness Week Assembly🩵

Today, Theo delivered a fantastic assembly all about Type 1 Diabetes. He taught us about his condition, explained how it affects his daily life and even shared some famous people who also have Type 1 Diabetes.
We also enjoyed listening to a story about Type 1 Diabetes, read by James Norton, which helped us learn even more. To finish off the assembly, Theo kindly gave everyone a bag of his “favourite treatment”…Haribos! 🍬
A huge well done to Theo for speaking so confidently and helping us all better understand Type 1 Diabetes. We are so proud of you!☺️⭐️

A Special Visitor in P1/2🐮

A big thank you to Harrison and his dad Richard for coming in to visit P1/2 as part of our People Who Help Us topic.🐮🥛
They taught us all about dairy farming, including where milk comes from, how calves are looked after and the machinery used on the farm. We even got to see some of the meal that the cows like to eat!
The boys and girls loved hearing all about life on a dairy farm and had lots of questions to ask. Thank you also for the lovely stickers and sweets. We really appreciate you taking the time out of your busy day to come and chat to our class.☺️🚜

Phonics fun in P1✏️

Today we used a sound tunnel to help us remember and say the sounds we have learnt throughout the year.😁 We also practised our new letter of the week Z using glitter trays and paint brushes, made it with counters and formed it in the sand with our fingers.✏️

Age NI

🌟 A huge thank you to Rosalind Cole from Age NI, who very kindly came along today to speak to the children about her role and the fantastic work carried out by the charity, Age NI 💙
Rosalind sincerely thanked all the pupils, parents, grandparents and staff for their incredible generosity and for the wonderful donation made to the charity £333.70 raised through our recent grandparent outdoor Numeracy Day. 👏🎉
During her visit, Rosalind showed us a touching video about a lady who attends the centre each day 😊 She spoke about how much she enjoys spending time with her friends and taking part in fun activities 🎨🎶☕ The children really enjoyed learning more about the important work Age NI does to support older people in our community ❤️
