🌻B E A U T Y . I N . F R A G I L I T Y🌻

Iv been a little quiet on here recently, iv been busy starting a new job, and just doing life. But last weekend, when the snow fell, I took a walk to one of my favourite places, and reflected on how far I personally have come. 🌻

This page, this business, this passion came out of my fragility. It came out of a really dark time for me, and now I am on the other side, I am so proud of how far I have come. There is beauty in this fragility, because it takes the recognition of needing help or saying “I am not ok” to see and appreciate being able to help someone and ask them “are you ok?”. 🌻

The weather these past few weeks has not been to everyone’s liking, and yes it is dangerous, and it can be scary, but in a moment of peace, it is this. Beauty. Fragile. Real. 🌻

As we enter the last few weeks of the year, take a moment to appreciate you vulnerability, your fragility, and also how beautiful those things are. Your fragility makes you strong. 🌻

🌻P E R S O N A L . G R O W T H🌻

Growth doesn’t have to be big steps, it doesn’t have to be dramatic life changes, it doesn’t have to be that massive U-turn you keep promising yourself. 🌻

Personal growth can be small. But small can be equally beautiful. Look at these flowers, they are not big, they are delicate and could sometimes be missed or overlooked. But their impact and beauty is just as lovely. And the effort of their growth is the same as a beautiful sunflower or an enormous rose.🌻

So take a moment at the end of today, and reflect. Reflect on the growth you have made today, this week, this month, this year. Not the big things necessarily, but the little things, the things just for you. And from me to you, keep going, you’re doing great! 🌻

🌻 F E E L I N G S 🌻

No emotion you are feeling is permanent. Sit with that for a moment. How does that make you feel?

You may feel sad now, angry now, shame, frustrated, regretful, or even on the other side, happy, excited, joyful etc. But every emotion will pass, and will change, grow and develop into a different emotion at a different time. The way you feel right now does not define you as a person, it does not define who you are. You may feel angry right now, but that does not mean you ARE angry. You may feel sad, and have felt sad for a little while, but that does not mean you will always feel sad. 🌻

Emotions come and go, go up and down, just like the waves, the weather and the wind. Some days it may be rough, but others will be better. We cannot stop our feelings, they make us human, but we can learn to ride them a little more smoothly. 🌻

🌻 S T R E N G T H & S U P P O R T 🌻

Today, I saw this amazing tree which has wrapped itself around this pillar, and the beauty of how they are joined and supporting one another made me really reflect. 🌻

Some may see this and see destruction, see weakness, see resistance and fight. Is the tree destroying the brickwork? Or is the man-made pillar in the way of nature taking its course? … Or are they mutually supporting each other? 🌻

Everyone needs support sometimes, everyone needs to lean on those around them. Sometimes this is one person holding up another, and sometimes this is two propel mutually holding up each other. Whether this is providing strength, or providing support, seeking help or love from others is never weakness. It is indeed strength in itself. 🌻

🌻A D V E N T U R E S🌻

Life is one big adventure, however often it is hard to enjoy the moment, especially when life moves so fast. Recently, I have been trying to practice what I preach with my clients, and be more mindful of every experience I have - Big or Small. 🌻

Whether it is mindfully going for a walk, mindfully taking in the colours of the world, or mindfully writing or painting, taking the time to really absorb the world through each of our senses will help us enjoy every day just that little bit more. 🌻

So tomorrow, when you wake up, whatever you are doing, take a few moments in the day to name the senses you are experiencing, and mindfully enjoy the day. And see the difference! 🌻

Spending a few days at home (where I grew up), wandering through muddy fields, cuddling up with my mums dogs, and getting lots of fresh air.
