Kids Love Nature Kindergarten at Lytchett Minster opened in September 2018 following an extensive renovation of both the indoor and outdoor spaces. This beautiful former Victorian Primary School is our newest kindergarten. Conveniently located on Dorchester Road with easy access from Upton, Corfe Mullen and less than a mile from the Bakers Arms roundabout. With 4 beautiful classrooms that cater for every area of interest, the learning flows seamlessly to the extensive outdoor space which includes; a super sized sand pit, mud cafe, outdoor classroom and playhouse. Our highly qualified and loving team, ensures your child has the best start to nursery life, enabling your child's individual talents to flourish. Our visiting artist sparks children’s creative imagination and together they develop amazing pieces of art! To ensure your child is connected to all the wonders of nature, we are collaborating with Lytchett Minster School to run a 2 acre allotment. Our full-time gardener works with the children and teachers to develop a love of growing by taking them on the seed to plate journey. They work together growing every type of vegetable imaginable in the polytunnels and growing beds, then pick the abundant fruit from the orchard and berry bushes. Before returning to the kindergarten with their harvest, they collect eggs from the chickens and help to feed the ducks. All our produce contributes to the ingredients used by our chef, and with the help of the children, they cook all the delicious homemade meals and snacks. Everyday at Kids Love Nature Kindergarten at Lytchett Minster really is extraordinary!

Even in our Caterpillars Classroom (9-18 months) there are so many exciting things to discover! We’ve been exploring shapes through hands-on play, building early learning skills while having lots of fun along the way. 🌟

For little ones, play is more than just fun β€” it’s how they explore, experiment, make connections and learn about the world around them. 🧠✨

πŸŒ§οΈπŸ’¦ Rainy days = happy days at the allotments! 🌱

Our allotments were certainly grateful for some much-needed rain… and our little ones were more than happy to make the most of it! πŸ˜„πŸ’¦

There’s nothing quite like a good splash in a muddy puddle β€” especially when you’re surrounded by nature and fresh, rain-soaked soil. 🌿🫢

Sometimes the best outdoor adventures are the ones that leave you covered in mud! πŸ₯ΎπŸŒ§οΈ

πŸ›πŸ”Ž Little explorers on a bug hunt! 🌿

Our young gardeners had a fantastic time exploring the allotments, searching under leaves, around the plants and in all the little hidden corners for creepy-crawlies. πŸžπŸ•·οΈπŸ¦‹

Lots of discoveries, curious questions and plenty of muddy hands along the way! πŸŒ±πŸ’š

Today we say a very special goodbye to our amazing school leavers as they take their next big step off to school!

From their very first days with us, most joining us from Caterpillars, taking their first steps, learning to be the confident, kind, curious and independent children they are today. Good luck in your next adventure!

πŸ…πŸŒ± Little Gardeners at Work! πŸŒ±πŸ…

Our children had a wonderful time helping Tom, our gardener, plant tomato plants in the polytunnels at the allotments! πŸ‘©β€πŸŒΎπŸ‘¨β€πŸŒΎ

They loved getting hands-on, learning how our food grows, and taking care of our plants. We can’t wait to watch them grow, harvest our tomatoes, and use them in our yummy lunches in the future! πŸ…πŸ₯—πŸ’š

πŸ”’πŸŒˆ Learning through play! πŸŒˆπŸ”’

Our little learners are busy practicing number recognition, counting, and sorting with colourful bears. Hands-on learning makes math fun, engaging, and meaningful!

We feel very lucky to have our Tom. 🌱Tom brings something truly special to childhood at Lytchett Minster.

Across our two-acre orchard and vegetable garden, he helps children sow, water and harvest the food served in their lunches and snacks. They learn where food comes from, experience the joy of growing it and have their curiosity nurtured by someone who truly understand.

Extraordinary experiences begin with extraordinary people. πŸ’š
