🍂🌾 Harvest Festival at Lyng Primary School 🌾🍂
We enjoyed a lovely Harvest Festival service led by Rev Richard, celebrating the season and giving thanks for our harvest. The children enjoyed singing our favourite Harvest songs and joining together for this special occasion. 🎶
A huge thank you to all our families for their generous donations to the local foodbanks. Your kindness and support will help make a real difference to those in our community who need it most. ❤️

🚑 Cherry Class Meet Paramedics! 🚑

Cherry Class had a very exciting visit from Tom and Charlie, who are both paramedics, as part of our People Who Help Us topic! 👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️

The children loved exploring the ambulance equipment, finding out how it is used to help people, and learning all about the lights and sirens. 🚨

We learnt about how Tom travels in an air ambulance and watched a great video about this. 🚁

We had lots of curious questions and some very enthusiastic little paramedics in the making! 😊

A huge thank you to Tom and Charlie for taking the time to visit us and help bring our learning to life! ❤️🚑

🏉 Tag Rugby Fun in PE! 🏉

Rowan Class had a fantastic time developing their tag rugby skills in PE! They worked on running, passing, dodging and teamwork, while having lots of fun along the way. 👏😊

We loved seeing everyone getting active, working together and putting their new skills into practice! 🌟🏉

🍂🍁 Autumn Learning in Cherry Class! 🍁🍂

Cherry Class have been busy exploring autumn and learning all about the changes we can see around us. We have been collecting autumn treasures, talking about colours, textures and the changing season.

The children have also been getting creative, making faces using natural autumn materials. We loved seeing their wonderful ideas and unique creations! 😊🍂

🌲🎨 Forest School Fun in Rowan Class! 🎨🌲

Rowan Class got creative in Forest School this week, making their very own clay troll faces! 👹🍂

The children enjoyed moulding, shaping and adding lots of fantastic details to their trolls, using their imaginations and natural surroundings for inspiration. We loved seeing all the different characters they created! 🌿✨

Our Cooking Club had a fantastic time making a delicious butternut squash and spinach curry! 🥕🥬

We were especially proud to use some of the fresh produce grown right here in our school garden. 🌿👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

The children enjoyed preparing, cooking and tasting their creation — and it was certainly a big hit! 😋

We had great fun in Oak Class this afternoon making periscopes, linking to our learning in science about reflection.
We also welcomed many grandparents who all rolled up their sleeves and got stuck in!
A special mention goes out to Sophia's grandad who helped a number of other children with their own constructions.
Thank you!
