A slightly surreal afternoon last week… ✨

I found myself in the Home Room at the House of Lords attending a Heritage & Capital Afternoon Tea hosted by Kaylee Bareti, founder of

The discussion explored Britain, China & America, geopolitics, trade, investment and the changing economic landscape shaping our world featuring Rt Hon Sir Vince Cable, economist, author and former UK Secretary of State for Business and leader of the Liberal Democrats; and Alan Cochrane, political journalist and former editor of the Daily Telegraph 🌎

Whilst the conversation was both interesting and inciteful, what stayed with me most wasn’t the topic itself…

It was how I ended up in the room.

I was there because of a relationship, and the privilege of supporting an ambitious woman on her journey.

Today, she’s creating opportunities, bringing together influential people and facilitating important conversations.

It’s a beautiful reminder that when we invest in people, we rarely see the full extent of what that investment will become.

One conversation.
One opportunity.
One introduction.
One act of support.

The ripple effect can travel much further than we ever imagine 💫

Grateful for the invitation, the perspective and the reminder that leadership isn’t just about what we achieve ourselves - it’s about what we make possible for others 🤍

Well, this was a surreal and magical moment ✨

Last month, I hosted my book event at Waterstones.

And as I sat there, speaking about You Are Meant For Something Bigger, I had to metaphorically pinch myself!

Because for such a long time, this was something I had only dreamt of.

Walking into Waterstones and seeing my book on the shelves 📕
Signing copies ✍️
Having conversations about what it really means to want something more for yourself 🙋‍♀️

If I’m honest, there were times I didn’t quite believe it would happen.

And yet, there I was.

And more than that… I was completely in my element.
Sharing something I care deeply about 🤗
Sharing my value 💛
Seeing it land 💥

That, to me, is what realising your potential and living your purpose actually feels like.

Not just an idea.
But something you experience.

Not just something you achieve.
But how you show up.

Not just more doing…

But deeper alignment.
More meaning.
More purpose.
And the kind of impact you want your work, leadership and life to have.

Because this is the conversation I see in so many women I work with:

Is this it?
Or is there something more?

What made the evening so special wasn’t just speaking.

It was the conversations.
The honesty in the room.
The women who said, “This is exactly where I am right now.”

Because this isn’t about having everything figured out.

It’s about listening to that inner voice.
Questioning the version of success you’ve inherited.
And choosing, consciously, what comes next.

That’s the work 💖

And seeing it land, in real conversations, reminded me why it matters so much.
