The Hampshire Junior Open Chess Congress is an annual tournament for young chess players who are less than eighteen years old on August 31st, 2019. Players are invited from any county : there are no restrictions as this is an OPEN event ! The event is a qualifier for the London Junior Chess Champion...

Did you know that Monday 29th April will be the start of "screen-free week"? We all get too much screen, and this initiative is designed to give us all - including our kids - a break from the tvs, laptops and smartphones. What better way to avoid screen than playing some chess!?

During the first week of May, take a break from screen-based entertainment like social media and TV and rediscover the joys of life away from screens.
