Two Swifts were very excited to see their work on display at the Vauxhall exhibition at Stockwood Park!

Swans have been exploring the rhythm of design, creating striking, repeated patterns inspired by traditional South African art.
They have now transported these incredible designs onto custom T-shirts. These wearable pieces of art beautifully blend the soulful, harmonic influence of Ladysmith Black Mambazo with a high-energy Rock ‘n’ Roll twist

We had the absolute pleasure of welcoming a very special Mystery Reader to Swans. The children were on the edge of their seats as the big reveal turned out to be one of our amazing parents, who treated us to a fantastic storytime. Thank you for bringing so much magic to our classroom.

The Swans had a fantastic time exploring the beautiful museum grounds at Tring. The outdoor spaces provided the perfect setting for the children to run around, burn off some energy, and enjoy their lunch. They took part in the dinosaur workshop and explored the amazing three floors of the museum. It was the perfect extension to our day of discovery.

Swifts had a great time at Stockwood Park. They met up with their linking school class from Warden Hill Juniors.

Eagles used YuStudio to add their own musical sounds to a video

Even more music in Eagles this week! They played notes on the glockenspiel alongside 'Happy'.

In English, Robins have been learning all about poetry. We explored different types of poems and explored how poets use exciting words, rhythm and rhyme to make their poems interesting. After writing our own poems, we enjoyed performing them to the class.

Robins have been learning about fractions in maths. We investigated halves, quarters and thirds. We learned how to recognise equal parts and find fractions of shapes and amounts. We used practical resources and fraction walls to help us explain our thinking and solve problems confidently.

Robins had a special visit from Befordshire Fire and Rescue Service. We learned the importance of smoke alarms and being safe with lighters and matches. They taught us how to ‘stop drop and roll’ and how to call 999 in an emergency. We also learned about the role of a firefighter and got to see and use some of their equipment. Thank you for a hands-on practical experience. We learned so much and had lots of fun!

In PE, Robins have been perfecting their reaction and response skills with increasing control. We explored changing direction, speed and levels while moving to help us. Some of us confidently added extra movements such as pivots, jumps and balances.
