Today Mrs Clark and the team led our Welcome to Wenlock event for our new pupils joining us in September. It was lovely to welcome so many families to our school to share and celebrate our school. Thank you to everyone who attended and we look forward to welcoming you all in September.

This is a friendly reminder that class picture day is next Wednesday, 20th May 2026.

Please ensure your child wears one of the following uniform options:

Option 1: New active uniform
OR
Option 2: Winter uniform (shirt, blazer and tie)

Both options are acceptable for the photographs, so please choose whichever is most convenient for your family.

Our school catering team Aspens are all set up in the hall, ready to share with you all the wonderful food on offer as part of our school lunches at Wenlock CE Academy. Please do come and drop in to speak to them and try some of the food that they are busy preparing for our parents and families.

Today our wonderful Year 6 pupils begin their End of Key Stage 2 SATS papers, along with all other children in Year 6 across the country. We are so proud of all our Year 6 pupils and the determination and resilience they have shown, along with the growth throughout their time with us. This is now their chance to shine and try their best.

Thank you to everyone who supported Mr Clark during the London Marathon last weekend: whether it was through words of encouragement, sending Boosts through the Marathon app, sharing his cause or donating. Mr Clark is thankful to each and every one of you who helped him to get through each mile. As a school, we have helped to raise over £350 towards his total. Thank you Team Wenlock!

Two hours in and Mr Clark is over the half way point!

Everyone at Team Wenlock would like to wish our amazing deputy headteacher Mr Clark the absolute best of luck as he runs the 2026 TCS London Marathon today! We can’t wait to track him on the app, see if we can spot him on the TV and watch him cross that finish line, ready to share and celebrate with him back at school tomorrow!

Mr Clark is running on behalf of APEC - Action on Pre-Eclampsia, a cause very close to his family’s heart after pregnancy complications with their daughter; hoping to raise more awareness of the condition.
