SAT's are just around the corner. Are you ready?
It's that time of year again. The time when you pull out all the stops to support your young one, do the best they can for their SAT's exams.

Your finding ways to help them be calm and not stress out. One thing I always had the children in my class do, was to think of a peaceful, relaxing place, a safe place, where they feel calm. Then I would, within an art lesson, have them re-create that scene on paper, like their own personal postcard / poster and encourage them to picture that scene whenever they start to feel stressed or anxious.

There is no mistaking that the past few years have taken a toll. We have all faced challenges, including our children.
School closures, remote learning and the uncertainty of the long-term effects these disruptions will have on children’s education is a great concern.
Schools are doing the best they can but can they make up for the loss?
Students are feeling confused and overwhelmed with the present circumstances and are concerned about their future.
What can be done?

1. We need to be positive and reassure them that there is a way to make up for lost time.
2. We need to provide them with the right mindset.
3. We need to give them the right tools, so that they can achieve.

Hi my name is Gail Clark.

I just wanted to come here to introduce myself and welcome you to my community on Facebook.

I am a qualified, experienced Primary Teacher and I left the classroom to become a Private Tutor. I have been tutoring Face to Face and 1 - 1 for some years now and was looking to make the transition to on-line before the pandemic hit.

I enjoy reading and writing and so, I like blogging about educational matters whenever I can.
