The design uses Passive House standard design criteria to integrate the proposed building with its environment. Naturally sourced materials requiring minimal processing have been used wherever possible. All other materials were selected based on their capacity to be reused or recycled, in order to reduce the overall embodied carbon of the building.

On plan, the increasing/decreasing spiral spine wall is offset by the anchoring, constant circle. The required functions are set off this dynamic exchange and the spaces that are created in between.
