Gunton Primary Academy

We believe that the first years of formal education set the foundations for a lifetime of learning. Everyone working at our school puts every effort into creating a secure, caring and positive atmosphere in which children are encouraged to develop to their full potential. Our children at Gunton are confident, happy and keen to learn. They are encouraged to be independent and to develop a sense of responsibility. Visitors to the school frequently comment on the welcoming atmosphere, and how well the children conduct themselves. We are proud of our children, and their achievements, and we have high expectations of their academic and personal skills. We value the strong relationships we develop with parents, and we invite you to join us as often as possible. We believe that more can be achieved if teachers and parents work together in partnership. Please join in the many activities to which you will be invited, as well as encouraging your child at home. We pride ourselves on having been one of the first schools to receive a Department for Education and Skills `School Achievement Award', and on our Charter Mark, awarded by the Cabinet Office, for `Excellence in Public Service'. We have also been awarded an `Activemark' for our commitment to sport and a healthy lifestyle, and `National Healthy Schools' status. As a school, we constantly seek ways to improve, to benefit our present and future pupils. We hope that your child's time with us will be an exciting one, and we look forward to working with you in the future. We would be pleased to show you around the school, and to answer any questions you may have. Please do not hesitate to contact us. Matthew Jordan
