YMCA Childcare St Margaret’s Road We cater for children aged 3months to 12years. Between the hours of 8am-6pm, all year round.

The nursery has 2 spacious rooms and a large garden area for the children to explore.

We would like to wish all of the children that are starting their next adventure in ‘big school’ the best of luck.

Looking back on their time with us, we couldn’t be prouder of how much they have grown, developed and flourished. From their very first days to becoming the confident, capable and curious learners. It has been a privilege to be part of their journey.

We would love to see how they’re getting on so please send us some photos of your little ones in their new school uniform. 🥰

The work, effort and passion they all put in to their roles, day after day, makes us so proud of each and everyone of them. So a massive thank you for always supporting the children, families and us. You are our amazing YMCA family. You guys really are inspirational and the best🏆🥰

We would like to wish all of our children that are moving on to Nursery or Big school, lots of luck for September and thank you for all of the memories you have left with us.
For our children and families returning after the summer, a polite notice that our first week back begins on Monday 7th September.

☀️ ‼️ Due to the current hot weather and rising temperatures within the nursery setting, we are closely monitoring conditions to ensure the safety and comfort of all children.
Despite our efforts to keep rooms as cool as possible, indoor temperatures will become higher than usual during the day. Therefore, if you have alternative childcare arrangements available and are able to keep your child at home tomorrow, we would kindly encourage you to do so.
If your child does attend, please be aware that we will continue to monitor the situation closely throughout the day. Should temperatures rise to an unsafe or uncomfortable level, we may make the decision to close the nursery at short notice.
For children attending, please ensure they come prepared for the heat with:

Light, cool clothing
A sun hat
Named water bottles
Sun cream applied before arrival (and provided for reapplication if needed)

The wellbeing of the children remains our top priority, and we appreciate your understanding and support during this period of hot weather.‼️☀️

Today has been a sad day for everyone at YMCA Childcare, as we have said goodbye to our childcare manager Kim.

Over the past 8 years Kim has shared so much passion and enthusiasm for giving all of our families the best start in their nursery life. She has shared knowledge so freely and shown so much dedication. Kim has shaped so many little lives and supported countless parents, and the impact she has made will be felt for years to come.

So from everyone here at YMCA Childcare we would like to say a very huge and well deserved thank you! We appreciate all of your hard work over the years and we are all going to miss you being part of our team.

If any families would like to say goodbye please leave a comment below as we know Kim will be missed by many.

It finally feels like summer has arrived - yay! We want the children to be able to access the beautiful garden space in this glorious weather safely - so please can we remind you to send your child in with a named bottle of suncream as we want to enjoy lots of garden play with your children :)
