This week we've been enjoying the theme 'Icons of Music'. From Elvis, to Dolly, Frank Sinatra, to Elton, Doris Day, to Tom Jones.

Here we are at the wonderful Cedar House Residential Care Home having a quick practice being a bit cheeky ready for a well known saucy song by a Welsh icon.

Honouring Dolly in classes today 🦋

So many of my themes include the incredible Dolly Parton. I'm very conscious that her passing yesterday may be very emotive for some of my participants, so I've purposely chosen a different theme for today.

But - a couple of the residents this morning asked me if we were doing any Dolly, so we decided together that we'd celebrate her with a finale of 9to5 at the end of our session ✨️

🏆 BEST DANCERS! 🏆

Today, the residents of South Lodge Care Home - Avery Healthcare proudly showed me their trophy and award that they won in the Avery's Got Dance talent competition!

They're such a joyous bunch at South Lodge, and I've really got to know each and every resident really well through my weekly visits.

A big reason for them being crowned the winners, was the joy, inclusivity and the fact that residents were front and centre of the entry. An ethos that we follow in every single session ❤️
