🎉 Celebrating Shelthorpe 100 at Lift Beacon! 🎉

What a fantastic afternoon we had on Saturday as we welcomed our local community to Lift Beacon for the Shelthorpe 100 Celebration!

It was wonderful to see so many families, friends and members of the Shelthorpe community come together to enjoy an afternoon filled with music, circus skills, activities, food, fun and celebration. The atmosphere across the school grounds was incredible, with so many people sharing stories, making memories and celebrating what makes our community so special. ❤️

We were also delighted to welcome the Mayor who joined us to celebrate this important milestone and spend time meeting members of our community. It was a real privilege to showcase our school as a place at the heart of Shelthorpe and highlight the strong partnerships that make our community such a special place to be.

A huge thank you to Charnwood Borough Council, everyone who helped organise the event, our community partners and everyone who came along and made the afternoon such a success.

At Lift Beacon, we are incredibly proud of our community links and the role we play in bringing people together. We look forward to continuing to work alongside our families, neighbours and local organisations to create even more opportunities to celebrate together. 🌟

Under Ofsted's new inspection framework, Lift Beacon has achieved Expected Standard in Early Years, Achievement and Curriculum & Teaching, and the higher Strong Standard in:

Inspectors recognised that our pupils "develop confidence, belong fully and achieve well" and that our school is "calm and respectful and supports learning extremely well."

This fantastic outcome reflects the hard work of our pupils, staff, families, governors and Trust colleagues. Thank you to everyone who plays a part in making Lift Beacon such a special place to learn and grow.

🎨🌈 COLOUR DASH FUN! 🌈🎨

What an amazing afternoon we had at our whole school Colour Dash in support of LCH Charity! 💙

Our children showed incredible community spirit as they raced across the field, covered head to toe in colourful powder paint! From start to finish, there were smiles, laughter and unforgettable memories made. 🏃‍♂️💨🎉

We are so proud of all of our pupils and families for raising such a fantastic amount of money for a truly wonderful cause. Thank you to everyone who donated and helped make the event such a huge success.

🌍✉️ Building Global Connections at Lift Beacon ✉️🌍

Our Year 3 children at Lift Beacon have been busy writing heartfelt letters to pupils at St Paul’s School in Arusha, Tanzania, helping to create meaningful friendships and connections across the world.

The children shared information about life in Loughborough, their families, hobbies and school experiences, whilst also asking thoughtful questions to learn more about the children in Arusha. 🌎❤️

We are incredibly proud of the kindness, enthusiasm and global awareness shown by our pupils, and we look forward to continuing this wonderful partnership in the future.

✨ Young Authors Celebration ✨

What an incredible day at Beacon! We were proud to host over 70 talented young writers from across our LIFT schools for a truly inspiring Young Authors event. 📚✍️

Throughout the day, pupils showcased their creativity, imagination and dedication, producing some outstanding pieces of academic work. The quality of writing was exceptional, and we are delighted that their work will be published in a very special book – a fantastic achievement for every child involved!

⚽️🌟 We are so proud of our amazing Year 5 & 6 girls’ football team! 🌟⚽️

This week, they represented our school brilliantly in the Charnwood girls football finals, finishing an incredible 🥉 3rd place out of 15 schools — what an achievement!

Their teamwork, determination and positive attitude were outstanding from start to finish. You did yourselves and our school proud!

A very special mention goes to Calypso, whose initiative and courage helped make this event possible. She wrote to the Charnwood Sports League to request a girls-only football league — and we are so proud that her efforts helped create such a fantastic opportunity for so many.

What a team. What an achievement. What an inspiration. 💙👏
