The University of Nottingham has made the shocking announcement that it will be suspending our Agricultural degrees.

Agriculture has long been a flagship subject at Nottingham, taught since the 1800s at the Sutton Bonington campus. Our degrees are renowned for their teaching quality, led by award-winning colleagues, and for producing exceptional graduates who make meaningful contributions to the agricultural sector.

Currently, our Agriculture degrees are ranked:
Top 62 in the world (QS World University Rankings)
Top 3 in the UK (QS and Guardian subject rankings)

At a time when we should be supporting the future of UK agriculture through education and innovation, the University of Nottingham has instead decided to take a step back. Please support the effort to be heard and to protect the future of Agricultural education at Nottingham.

Welcome to all of our new students moving in over the next few days! And hello to anyone who arrived earlier this week. đź‘‹

We know that moving away from home can feel unsettling, and our staff and students are here to help when you need it.

Our Welcome Villages are open all week on University Park, Sutton Bonington and Jubilee campuses to give everyone the chance to socialise and meet fellow students.

The Welcome Villages will host a range of fun, informative and social activities throughout your first week, including events in the evenings and at the weekend.
