Our AH Biologist had a brilliant day today (Saturday 5th September) exploring field techniques.

Thanks to Gordonstoun for the morning sessions on sampling techniques.

The afternoon session was spent studying animal behaviour at Cummingston.

Great to use our local area to see biology in action.

๐ŸŒŸ Youth and Philanthropy Initiative (YPI) Final ๐ŸŒŸ

We are delighted to invite parents, carers, staff and members of our school community to our S3 YPI Final on Tuesday 29 September.

The Youth and Philanthropy Initiative (YPI) is a national programme that empowers young people to create positive change in their local communities.

Throughout this term, our S3 pupils have been researching social issues, working alongside charities, and developing persuasive presentations to advocate for causes they are passionate about.

At the final, teams will present their chosen charities and the impact they hope to make.

One winning team will secure ยฃ3,000 for their charity, demonstrating how young people can use their voices to make a real difference.

Join us in celebrating the creativity, compassion, and leadership of our young people as they work to make a difference in our local community. โค๏ธ

Looking Smart, Lossie! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’›

What a fantastic first week back at Lossiemouth High School!

It has been lovely to welcome our learners back, and we have been really impressed by how smart so many of our young people have looked in their school uniform. Here are just a few of the many pupils who have been proudly representing our school this week!

School uniform is about more than simply what we wear. It helps to create a sense of identity and belonging, reflects our values of Ambition, Respect and Kindness, and supports the high expectations we have for everyone in our school community. Coming to school dressed and ready for the day also helps to create that important mindset of being ready to learn.

A huge thank you to our pupils for the effort they have made this week and to our parents and carers for your support. It really is appreciated. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’›
