Today, we were privileged to welcome the new Bishop of Ely to The Pathfinder C of E Primary School. The announcement was made by Downing Street just after 10a.m. We were very proud of our pupils as they welcomed Bishop Sarah for her first public appearance and honoured that she chose our school for this occasion. Bishop Sarah helped the whole school to reflect on the Way of Life cross that forms our school logo and on the wisdom and perseverance needed by a bishop - qualities that also sit at the heart of our school values, and are relevant to us all, no matter our faith background.

After a year of Artscaping alongside the young people at The Pathfinder, we are excited to be celebrating the end of the project with an exhibition and Artscaping activities for the whole family. Join us at The Nest (and nature reserve!) at The Pathfinder on 20th October from 3.30-5pm. We will be:
Exhibiting fantastic Artscaping creations young people have made across the year
Offering Artscaping activities for children and their families
Offering free snacks to enjoy
Please ensure that children are accompanied by a responsible adult at all times

We are excited to be hosting a Macmillan Coffee Morning to help raise money for this wonderful charity.

📅Date: Friday 26th September
🕘Time: 8.50am – 9.30am
📍Location: Pathfinder School hall

We would be very grateful for any donations of cakes, biscuits, or other treats (homemade or shop-bought). These cakes need to be nut free. Please bring them in on the morning of the event.
Everyone is warmly invited to join us for a cup of tea or coffee, enjoy some cake, and help us support Macmillan Cancer Support.

Some of our teachers were honoured to be invited to join with Hindu Samaj Northstowe taking part in the Guru Purnima celebration. The teachers were treated to a wonderful celebration of the power of education, led by some of our very own Pathfinder pupils. They enjoyed watching dance recitals, learning about the importance of Gurus in Hindu tradition and tasting delicious snacks.

We are very excited to share the video introducing our updated Values for our wonderful school. The children were introduced to the three values over the last few weeks and have created beautiful artwork to support our Vision during our recent transition day. Thanks to The Year 6 Legacy Project and The Stardust Dance Academy Team, as without them this video would not have happened.

We had out DT day in Year 3 this week. The children had to make their very own bread and butter. The knowledge goal was to understand that wheat makes flour which can be made into bread and cows make milk which can be made into butter. The children worked in groups to produce their own wholemeal loaf of bread and they used a jam jar to shake and make their own butter – which was really fun!

Our children in pre-school thoroughly enjoyed their visit from the police as part of their topic on local heroes and people who help us.

We've just received our certificate showing how much we raised on Number Day in February! Thank you to our amazing families for your generosity in supporting Pathfinder to raise £330.40 for the NSPCC.
