BUDDING ARTISTS IN YEAR ONE ALERT!!
This term in Year 1 the children are focusing on creating a self-portrait in the style of Pablo Picasso. They have been working hard to improve their skills on Line, Tone and Texture using the material graphite pencil, as well as charcoal. Before the children create their self portrait, they are trying super hard to grasp the technique of drawing their main facial features-eyes, nose and mouth. Look at some of their amazing drawings!

What a fabulous day we had in London with Year 6 yesterday. We were delighted to be invited back to the National Gallery to take part in a specialist art workshop and we enjoyed a fantastic sightseeing walk in the sunshine as well! Huge thanks to Mr Whiting for organising such a great opportunity and a massive well done to Year 6 for managing a long but exciting day!
