A few days on…

I took yesterday to rest and let everything settle.

I’ve been reflecting on the day, on the courage it took to show up, and on the way the space was held so openly and respectfully throughout.

There were moments of deep silence, moments of emotion, moments of connection, and moments that spoke without words. All of it mattered.

I want to say a heartfelt thank you again to everyone who came and trusted the process, and to acknowledge the openness you each brought into the room.

And a special thank you to the facilitators who helped hold the space so beautifully.

Your presence, care, and steadiness meant so much.

If you’re still feeling tender after Sunday, that’s completely understandable. These experiences don’t land all at once, they unfold slowly. Be gentle with yourselves.

I sent an email to participants yesterday (check your inbox), but I wanted to share a public thank you as well.

I’ll carry Sunday with me for a long time.

With love and gratitude,
Sharon x

A beautiful day of sharing, connection and being. As always the main message was to Never Lose Hope and to keep talking about your grief, it’s part of living! A massive thank you to my fellow facilitators today, , , , . And to everyone who attended, thank you from the bottom of my heart for trusting me with your heart today. I am truly grateful and honoured 💜

Not everyone experiences grief as tears.

Sometimes it looks like:
– feeling emotionally drained
– struggling to concentrate
– feeling disconnected from yourself
– needing more rest than usual
– finding everyday things harder than before

And because these things can show up slowly over time, many people don’t even realise grief is part of what they’re carrying.

Grief affects more than our emotions.

It can impact the body, the nervous system, our energy, our sense of safety, and the way we move through the world.

And that’s why spaces like this matter.

Not to “fix” grief…
but to better understand it, and ourselves within it 💜

I have very limited tickets left for HELD: Where Grief Lives on Sunday 17th May, 11am - 4pm, tickets are £55 (includes light lunch)

Like many people, I first heard about Geraldine Mullan on the news in August 2020.

The tragic loss of her husband John, her son Tómas, and her daughter Amélia was something I couldn’t even begin to comprehend. I remember thinking how it was simply unimaginable.

But what stayed with me was how often I found myself thinking about her long after the news had faded… wondering how she was, how she was coping.

At that time, my own life was shifting. I had just left a job I’d been in for over 20 years, unsure of what was next. I began training in Life Coaching and quickly felt drawn towards working in grief.

In November 2021, I reached out to Geraldine about an event I was creating. She replied saying she’d love to hear more, and in December I drove to Moville to meet her.

I was so nervous. I didn’t know what to say to someone who had experienced such enormous loss.

But I didn’t need to be.

That day, I met one of the warmest, most beautiful human beings I have ever known. Yes, there was sadness, but there was just as much love and light.

At one point, I shared my own losses and said, “that’s nothing compared to your loss.”

She gently stopped me and said:

“Never ever compare your loss to others.
Your loss is as difficult as mine, because it’s yours.”

That moment stayed with me. It shifted something deep in how I understand grief.

I left that meeting and sat in my car, letting the tears come before I could drive.

That conversation changed me, and continues to shape the work I do today.

I feel truly grateful to now call Geraldine a friend, and incredibly honoured that she will be joining us as our guest speaker.

I know sharing her story is not easy, and her willingness to do so in the hope it helps others is something I deeply admire 💜

Grief has a way of bending time.

It can feel like a lifetime ago…
and yet still sit so close, like it was only yesterday.

And that can be confusing.

Because on the outside, life moves on.
Time passes.
Things change.

But inside, parts of that loss can still feel just as raw,
just as present.

There is no timeline for grief.
No point where you’re “meant” to be okay.

Whether your loss is recent, or from many years ago…
if it still shows up for you in moments like this,
then it hasn’t gone anywhere.

And maybe it’s not meant to.

Maybe it just needs a different kind of space 💜

This day has been created with exactly that in mind.

I had heard about Joan for a long time before I ever met her.

Even without knowing her personally, I always felt a real pull towards her work, like something in me just knew I would work with her at some point.

And when we finally did meet… it all made sense.

We clicked straight away, and there was something so familiar about her, like she had been in my life for years.

The only way I can really describe Joan is that she is a shining light.

Her energy is so pure, and the depth of knowledge she carries is incredibly powerful.

I’ve attended many of her sessions and trainings over the years, and she has taught me so much, not just professionally, but on a very personal level too.

She has supported me in my own healing journey in a way that has helped me understand myself much more deeply.

Her sound baths are always filled to capacity, and it’s easy to see why.

Week after week, she creates spaces across the city that have become a place of real solace and healing for so many people.

I feel so grateful to now call Joan both a friend and a mentor.

And I’m truly honoured that she will be bringing her beautiful energy and sound therapy to this day, for you all to experience 💜

Grief changes shape over time.

It’s not always loud or obvious.

Sometimes it shows up quietly…
in the way your energy dips,
in the moments you feel a bit disconnected,
in the heaviness you can’t quite explain.

It doesn’t mean you’re going backwards.
It doesn’t mean you’re not coping.

It just means something in you still needs care.

And often, we don’t give ourselves that space.

We try to carry on,
to make sense of it,
to move past it.

But grief doesn’t work like that.

Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do
is gently slow down…
and begin to notice what you’re holding 💜

This is something we’ll explore on the day, limited tickets available: https://www.tickettailor.com/events/sharontoshcoaching

I love how the right people seem to come into your life at just the right time.

I first came across Oonagh on Instagram back in 2022, and there was just something about her posts that really stayed with me.
Her words, her energy… I found myself drawn to everything she shared.

When she released her affirmation cards, I became a regular customer buying them for myself, but more often gifting them to others… and then having to reorder again and again.

Oonagh would often deliver them herself, and what started as a quick doorstep drop-off usually turned into long chats… much to the patience of her boys waiting in the car while we talked for Ireland.

When she began training in breathwork, she put out a post looking for people to take part in 1:1 sessions as part of her case studies. I offered to be one of them.

And I can honestly say, that experience was something really special.

I had done breathwork before in group settings, but never 1:1 and it felt completely different.

Oonagh has such a beautiful, calming presence.
I felt safe straight away, and what unfolded in that session was incredibly powerful and gentle all at the same time.

Afterwards, I remember speaking to her about my work in grief, and how strongly I felt that this kind of work could really support people in a deeper way.

And from there… the rest is history.

I’m so grateful to now call her a friend, and I feel incredibly lucky to have her as part of this day.

Because I know first-hand the care, presence and depth she brings. 💜

Grief doesn’t just live in the heart.

It can show up in your body…
in your breath…
in the tension you carry without even noticing.

It can be in the heaviness you feel at certain times of the day,
or the moments where everything just feels a little harder than it should.

And often, we try to make sense of it just through our thoughts.

But grief isn’t always something we can think our way through.

Sometimes it needs something different.

A space to slow down.
To gently notice what’s there.
To begin to understand how it’s showing up for you, not just emotionally, but physically too.

That’s a big part of what this day is about.

A chance to pause…
and feel supported in whatever you’re carrying 💜
