Dr Mukesh Soni, Dr Sam Mohamed and Dr Azhar Sheikh jointly have c 80 years of clinical implant experience. Having stood on the Shoulders of Giants for many years, they feel that they have the credentials to share their knowledge with younger colleagues wishing to enter the field of dental implants. Sharing their successes, and more importantly their failures. Level one is aimed at dentists considering introducing/implementing dental implant procedures into their practices, dentists wanting more confidence with their dental implant skill sets and dentists who have undergone extensive training, such as a diploma/MSc/ Year long course BUT have not actually gained enough practical experience. Course delegates will be given an intensive grounding in dental implantology, with all necessary elements of the subject covered. We will meet and exceed the GDCs requirements. Once equipped with the theory, delegates will then be taken to (currently) Cairo for the surgical module. Here will be the distillation of all the previous learning namely dental implant placement. They will place implants on live patients each under the direct supervision of Mukesh, Azhar and Sam. You will then be encouraged to place simple implants in practice with all the support you need from the PI faculty. Oh, by the way, the surgical module is great fun and you will really bond with the facuklty, colleagues and clinic staff. Your life will never be the same again. Delegates will learn skill sets that are predictable, reproducible, evidence based and safe. These skill sets will allow them to introduce dental implant treatments into their practices and set them on a pathway for lifelong practical experience and learning. Delegates will be allowed to enter the Practical Implantology members only mentoring scheme. This will include FREE treatment planning help and advice, practice development and support and mentoring will be available for surgical cases at the (now) graduates or Mentors' surgeries. Mentees will also be given preferential rates to any further Practical Implantology Academy courses wherever possible.
