Today, we celebrated the International Day of Zoo and Aquarium Educators. A global event led by our friends at the International Zoo Educators Association (IZE), that highlights the incredible work of those who inspire others to care for wildlife every day.
For over 15 years our teams have educated thousands of people of all ages across London, the home counties and beyond about wildlife.

Introducing Sydney, a baby parma wallaby that was rejected by her group a few weeks back. Behind the scenes, our team has been helping to raise her.
She has been growing really well, and once old enough, she will be introduced to Auzzie, our resident parma wallaby.

We know it's a Sunday, but it's probably time to get up 🤔

Introducing our newest addition to the team, Ivy the black and white tegu. Tegu are large lizards native to South American with an omnivorous diet.

Ivy has masses of character and is a real gentle giant. She will be visiting schools and other locations as part of our educational outreach program. Contact us today to see how she can visit you.

Our Rangers are doing regular training with Jeff, our kookaburra, so he will soon be able to come out to help teach people about Australian wildlife.

We are delighted to announce that we will be hosting 5 animal encounter sessions at the Cassiobury Farm Farewell Celebration on Saturday 6th September 2025.
This is a fun filled sell-out event that will provide a chance to discover some amazing birds, reptiles and mammals up close.
Sessions will take place inside the beautiful Cassura Wildlife Lodge and are in support of

Baby alert- we are delighted to announce the birth of some rather fast growing baby lesser tenrecs. Here are some lovely photos of the babies drinking milk from their mum. Such an amazing species!

Say hello to one of our beautiful fiji iguana. This beautiful iguana species is found in Fiji but is unfortunately listed as endangered by the IUCN.
