Q. Why do babies put comforters on their face?
A. This is because babies rely on their senses to explore the world around them. We are born with stronger senses in order to help us with learning. Babies senses are stronger than an adults so their sense of touch means they are very tactile. Having something to touch close to them is comforting. These are babies 6 months + but it still applies to younger babies although we need to practice safe sleeping.
(You can remove the comforter from their face once asleep.)
The other reason may be because babies don’t have a pillow like we do.
There is nothing around their head to comfort them. 😊
After night nursing for 22 years you understand what a baby likes and the way they think.
Q. Why do you think they do it?

Very proud of a mum here who I have worked with in the past. Holly’s experience of the herpes simplex virus will surprise you. It’s a warning to mums with young babies to keep away from people with cold sores. Please read…. Baby Violet has got the all clear now! 🙏🙏

Good morning,
I was night nursing baby ‘A’last night but my job ends this morning. 😔
Baby who is 3 days passed 3 months sleeps 12 hours no feeds no wake ups! That is after her second round of vaccinations yesterday. Has been doing this for about a week now.
So well done, what a good baby. 👏
The baby has followed a week by week gentle routine from around 5 weeks and is exclusively breast fed.
Well done Mama! 👏 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
At what age did your baby sleep through the night? 👇 Do let me know. My son didn’t do it until he was 13 months, that was when I stopped breast feeding. 🙄

A few weeks ago I was waiting for a tube 🚇 at Victoria. A lady came up to me who I would not have recognised and reminded me of the day I went to visit them at home to help their toddler sleep.
As soon as she said the children’s names I remembered her partners first name began with a B. I was right and even though time had passed I had not forgotten the family. You wouldn’t think of bumping into someone you know at one of London’s busiest tube stations. 🚆🚊
Most of my work is done face to face at the family home. It’s always been my preferred way to work as I enjoy meeting the families and each visit is different to the next. Each family has their unique way of conducting their family life.
I have travelled all over inner and outer london and much beyond. I know the london map very well. 🛤️
If you would like a face to face visit get in touch. No distance is too far.
Please feel free to let family and friends know and if preferred we can work virtually. ☑️

Travelling on buses 🚌🚌 now has become so much easier. I had twins yesterday and dreaded getting on the bus with the pram. It is so much easier now there is better access and space for big double prams. Probably better than taking the car as the babies stay in the pram.
I could never have done this when I first became a nanny in the early 80’s.

I work with a lot of parents who have a child around the 3-4-5 month age group. 👶
It’s often because parents know by that age their child should be getting better sleeping overnight and at nap times and need to be on a good routine. Plus mums are tired….🥴
Whether your baby is breast, bottle 🍼or combination fed they can sleep consistently 11-12 hours every night from 3 months. It’s about fine tuning your routine, following a step by step process and having a good sleep consultant to guide you. ☺️
