Mulberry Schools Trust are excited to share this fantastic free summer opportunity for 13–17-year-olds, taking place at Mulberry UTC.🎭

In partnership with National Theatre and Back Stage Niche, MUTC will be hosting free taster workshops in technical theatre, including lighting, sound and stage management.

The Behind the Curtain workshops take place over one day and offer young people an insight into the practical, behind-the-scenes elements of theatre that make iconic stage productions so mesmerising.

Participants will build a foundation in technical theatre through hands-on demonstrations and practical activities, while gaining experience with industry-standard technical equipment and software.

If you work with young people or know a young person with an interest in theatre, production, live events, or backstage careers, please share this opportunity.

Lovely to see so many happy faces at Mulberry Baird Primary as Children had fun enjoying fresh fruit kebabs during a visit from Tesco and JB from JLS.

Yesterday, the school celebrated its Free Fruit and Veg Programme, which is helping to provide healthy food for pupils.

Brilliant work from staff in helping to educate students about healthy eating and supporting their wellbeing every day!

We are pleased to see two of our East Sussex primary schools – Mulberry Baird Primary and Mulberry Silverdale Primary – featured in recent local press coverage celebrating the impact of the LitUp reading programme in Hastings.

Developed by the National Literacy Trust in partnership with Bloomsbury Publishing UK, the programme is helping to encourage reading for pleasure and strengthen literacy through author visits, gifted books, family reading sessions and support for schools.

It is wonderful to see the positive early impact the programme is already having on children’s reading confidence and enjoyment, and fantastic to see this important work receiving recognition in the local press recently.
