Mental Health & Covid #1Tip Get Organised.

At school, college or uni, you have your timetable and blocks of time 'chunked' out for work, rest and play. Working or studying from home, and participating in live lectures or classes is pretty straightforward, but managing self-study can be tricky as you rotate between boredom and distraction. As a younger person, pre-Covid, it is easy to think that routine study, travel, work and family life are unadventurous and dull; you are not your parents!

Newsflash: The medical reality is that a routine and structure help build happiness and productivity. So get organised...

Use a task and time planner; there are plenty available on smartphones
Try to go to sleep and wake up at a regular time
Allocate some time each day to prepare some nutrition; otherwise, you can end up grazing junk.
Schedule a walk, run or exercise; or else, it tends not to happen.

You don't need to be a slave to routine to get benefits, and you always need to mix routine up for fun, social-emotional connections and to keep your brain sharp.
Many students have started to use mindfulness for working the brain as well as improving mood and feelings of well-being.
