An evening full of pride.
Thank you to SveaBritt UK for having their networking dinner at our school on Tuesday last week. During the evening, teachers Petra Strom Potts, Malin Hawkins, Jenny Thomas de Cruz, Headteacher Anette Elving Ferm, and board member Christina Brattwall spoke about the school’s history, unique ethos and the exciting future ahead.
It was a real pleasure to see so many of you there and to exchange stories and perspectives on the value of education and schooling.

The power of community.
A huge thank you to all the parents and carers who took part in our annual spruce-up day. Together, we sanded, painted, power-washed, and of course socialised.
It was a wonderful example of what can be achieved when a community comes together to support the school environment for our children.

Living our best life in the Brecon Beacons! Last week our Year 2 and 3 pupils traded their desks for the rolling hills of Wales , and what a result! We filled our days with non-stop activities and our lungs with that fresh mountain air. Swipe to see our little explorers in action across the stunning Welsh landscape! ClassOf2026 AdventureTime

This week the preschool enjoyed a wonderful outing to the Science museum 🔭🚀🧪
They had a fantastic time exploring and taking part in two workshops- The pattern pod and The garden. The children were curious, hands-on, and very excited as they discovered new ideas by play and exploration.
It was a special day of learning beyond the classroom! ✨

Congratulations to all of the students from the Swedish school who were selected to be part of the Young Arts Competition this year.
This year’s theme, Here and Now, showcased an inspiring range of student artwork across London. The selected works were exhibited at Christie’s, St. James’s, Central London, from 21st to 24th April 2026, with free admission to the public.
We are so proud of our students whose drawings and paintings captured the theme beautifully with creativity, individuality, and thoughtful expression.
A special congratulations to our student Ella in year 8 who was awarded third prize for her drawing, chosen from over a thousand entries from students across London.
The Young Art exhibition is also a charity event supporting research into childhood cancer, making this achievement even more meaningful.
We are incredibly proud of all of our students — well done to everyone involved!

Our spring project (Planting House). Since returning from Easter break, the children have been captivated by the changing environment. After spotting the first signs of life on our Spring Walk, they became eager to investigate how the bare ground transforms into a blooming garden.
To channel this curiosity, we started a Planting Project! The children took the lead by sharing their hypotheses on what plants need to thrive, ranging from water and sunlight to care and attention. To bring a creative touch to our experiment, everyone designed their own “Planting House,” merging art with hands on science as we wait for those first sprouts to emerge.

Creative work in progress in the art subject!
Our talented students have been exploring a wide range of techniques and ideas:
Year 4 are experimenting with marbling paper to use in their collages, discovering how colour and movement can create unique patterns.
Year 5 are developing their portrait skills, focusing on proportion, expression, and personal style.
Year 6 are designing and illustrating their own colouring books, combining creativity with thoughtful composition.
Year 9 are creating artworks in a chosen style, all centred around the theme “Being a young person in 2026” — a powerful exploration of identity, perspective, and the world they are growing up in.
We are so proud of their creativity, curiosity, and willingness to try new ideas.

Preschool- What a lovely week we have had! Our focus has been all about Easter, exploring its origins and discussing the different ways Easter is celebrated in various homes.
We also focused on creativity and fine motor skills through several hands on activities. To wrap up the week, we held our very own Easter celebration today (Friday)!
The children stayed busy with various crafts: painting eggs, decorating chicks, and drawing beautiful Easter cards.
Before lunch, it was time for our Easter Disco. It was wonderful to see all the children dressed up, dancing, and having such a great time together.
We were even lucky enough to get a visit from the Easter Chick, who left a hidden surprise for us out in the yard!
It has truly been a fantastic week filled with happy, creative children.
