Meet the Founder!
Shammi is a specialist in the impossible (I'm possible). In his personal life he has overcome the most unfavourable forms of mental, emotional and physical adversity, which has sparked his motivation for developing solutions and improving the lives of others.
Shammi was born in the UK and grew up as an expat child in Dubai where he struggled as he could not participate and be a functioning member of society whether it was in a community, at school, or at home.
All of his childhood he spent living in a different level of ability and consciousness. No one could meet him in his sensitivity, and he was unable to meet them due to his disabilities. So he felt neglected and in extreme pain. In this pain he was lonely, misunderstood, persecuted, and forsaken. Physical and verbal abuse from those around him did not compare to the pain of the emotional wounds he was feeling that no one could understand. Living in this world with his conditions was far too painful, on top of which, he was constantly attacked by society, and misunderstood by his family.
Growing up in a city with access to the best healthcare in the world, whilst going from doctors, to psychologists, to psychiatrists his entire life, Shammi became familiar with how the mainstream system operates. After diagnosing him with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and Depression, these caring professionals all mentioned that there was nothing they could do, except to try their best to make his life easier.
When he was 19 years old, his clinical psychologist referred him to a brain and learning development centre in Dubai where he discovered the world of personal development. As though discovering magic, this was a world where one could improve their human experience. It was a world where health can be achieved, where learning ability and brain performance can be improved, where feelings could be managed and changed, where the body could be controlled, where biology and gene expression can be changed, where everything you need to do in life is a learnable, trainable skill, and that it is all confirmed with the latest findings and research in neuroscience, epigenetics and quantum physics.
On his personal development journey, over the years, Shammi was able to overcome many of his impairments, as well as becoming able to learn and read properly at age 20. Shammi then went back to university and started achieving his first ever “A's” in mainstream education. After studying the concept which had a profound impact on his development, and working at the centre which changed his life, Shammi then fell in love with the work. Realizing it is all he wanted to do for the rest of his life, he launched a centre offering cognitive development in 2015.
Shammi then became Dubai and UAE’s champion in the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards in 2018.
In his professional life, Shammi has trained struggling students, as well as professionals of all backgrounds such as doctors, lawyers, entrepreneurs, bankers, CEO's, astronauts, and royal family members who have taken advantage of personalized training to enhance their lives.
Since launching Brain Abilitiez (The A to Z of abilities) in the UK in 2016, (www.BrainAbilitiez.com) his work has already successfully helped many individuals in the UK with disabilities turn their lives around and has helped adults of determination find employment. Since being an advocate, Shammi has spoken and raised money for organizations worldwide, however feels that this Determined Ones initiative, with its all rounded holistic approach solves the real long term problems faced by the affected.
