I have had a few people message to say this week's Friday Freebie is not working for them.
I am currently out of the UK so I am not 100% sure why it is working for some and not others.
Anyone that was unable to download.. if you DM me with an email address, I am more then happy to email it directly on Monday Evening when I have returned.
I apologise for any inconvenience it may have caused 🤍

🌿 Day 11/30 — messy toes, curious minds
Nature is the perfect sensory playground.
Today's wild moment was all about touching, exploring and discovering through play.
Because learning isn't always neat and that's okay.
🐟 Day 10/30 — learning begins with wonder
Today we slowed down and watched the fish.
No activity. No worksheet. No plan.
Just curiosity, observation and time to notice.
Sometimes that's all children need.

I've been doing a lot of reflecting recently about planning.
After 15+ years in early years, I've seen countless planning systems, curriculum approaches, trends and "must-have" methods come and go.
I've bought the curriculum packs.
I've created the topic webs.
I've filled in the planning documents.
And whilst many of them have value, I found myself asking one question:
**Are we planning for children, or are we planning for paperwork?**
Then I came across a simple sentence that stopped me in my tracks:
**"The child is the curriculum."**
And honestly?
It made me rethink everything.
Because when I look at the best learning opportunities we've provided recently, they didn't come from a pre-planned topic.
They came from children.
A transport interest became National Bicycle Day.
A fascination with movement became obstacle courses.
A need to develop mark making became road sign creation.
Everything connected because it started with the children in front of us.
Not a theme.
Not a worksheet.
Not a curriculum pack.
The child.
That reflection led me to create **Planning with Purpose** 💚
A practical planning system built around:
🌱 Children's interests
🎯 Developmental next steps
✨ Meaningful inspirations
📋 Purposeful learning opportunities
Because I've finally realised that planning doesn't need to be bigger.
It needs to be more intentional.
If you've ever felt overwhelmed by planning, or questioned whether all the paperwork is actually improving outcomes for children, this resource was created with you in mind.
💚 Planning with Purpose is now available in the Little Minds shop.

🌿 Day 9/30 — children learn through movement
Today's wild moment was a simple walk through nature.
Children explore the world with their whole bodies. Every step, turn and journey offers opportunities to notice, discover and connect with the environment around them.
Sometimes outdoor learning is as simple as following a path and seeing where curiosity leads.
💦 Day 8/30 — water invites exploration
Today's wild moment was all about being in the water.
Whether it's a paddling pool, a water tray, the sea or a swimming pool, children are naturally drawn to water. It encourages movement, confidence, sensory exploration and endless curiosity.
Sometimes the best learning happens when children are free to splash, play and simply enjoy the moment.
