Uma das coisas mais perigosas no português do Brasil é acreditar que você entendeu uma palavra… só porque traduziu literalmente. 😂🇧🇷

Por exemplo:

“Puxar assunto”
“Puxar conversa”
“Puxar responsabilidade”

Até aí tudo bem.

Mas então aparece:
“puxar saco”. 👀

E não, isso NÃO significa “pull bag”. 😅

No Brasil, “puxar saco” significa tentar agradar alguém exageradamente, especialmente uma pessoa com autoridade, como o chefe.

E isso mostra uma coisa muito importante sobre o português brasileiro:

Você não aprende português apenas estudando gramática.
Você aprende observando pessoas, contexto, tom de voz e cultura.

That’s why many foreigners understand the words… but still feel lost in real conversations.

passar mal,

passar raiva,
passar o dia no celular,
passar alguém pra trás…

…e nada disso significa simplesmente “pass”.

I honestly think learning Portuguese is easier than learning Brazilian greetings 😂🇧🇷

Because nobody explains the rules.

One person gives one kiss.
Another expects two.
Some people hug immediately.
And foreigners are just trying not to accidentally offend someone 😭

The funny part is that, in Brazil, a kiss on the cheek usually has nothing to do with romance.

Sometimes it simply means:
“Hi, nice to meet you.”

Portuguese is not only vocabulary and grammar.

It’s also understanding timing, body language and the invisible social codes behind Brazilian culture.

And THAT is the part most textbooks never teach.
