The final Messenger of Allah.
The beloved Prophet of Islam.

Jake Lang has repeatedly provoked Muslim Americans by insulting Islam, tearing or burning copies of the Qur’an, and even bringing a pig’s head or bacon in an attempt to offend Muslims.

I have no doubt that his actions fit into a broader Zionist campaign to demonize Islam and Muslims and shift attention away from Israel’s actions in Gaza, the West Bank, and across the region. The objective, in my view, is to convince Americans that Islam and Muslims are a threat to America—when those promoting such campaigns may themselves pose a far greater threat to truth, peace, and humanity.

Lang and others like him use hateful, offensive, and vulgar language while claiming protection under the First Amendment. But freedom of speech does not make hatred admirable, nor does it require Muslims to tolerate provocation. Imagine the outrage if the situation were reversed.

I am encouraged to see many non-Muslim Americans rejecting this kind of hatred. Anyone genuinely committed to seeking the truth should be willing to question the narratives being pushed before accepting them.

To my fellow Muslim Americans: do not fall into the trap. Ignore deliberate provocations and focus on exposing falsehood with truth and dignity. If someone's conduct crosses the line into threats, harassment, violence, or other unlawful behavior, report it to the appropriate authorities.

We must protect our institutions, document and report threats or aggression, and use lawful channels to respond. Most importantly, never take the law into our own hands. Do not allow provocateurs to drag us into altercations or pointless confrontations.

My guide is the Qur’an:

“And do not argue with the People of the Scripture except in a way that is best…” — Qur’an 29:46

And:

“…when you hear the verses of Allah [being] denied and ridiculed, so do not sit with them until they enter into another conversation…” — Qur’an 4:140

Provocation is the bait. Do not take it. Truth, dignity, and lawful action are the response.
