Calling all (Cumbria-based) sound artists, musicians and curious ears!
This Thurs (24th July) the Network and Fullof Noises invite you to a celebration of the spectrum that is listening with guests Jack McNeill, RL Wilson, the FON crew and Georgie Worth. The day (online and in person) features performances, presentations, AV/Sound screenings and alternative documentation. As well lots of time to meet the artists and chat over delicious food. You are invited to our latest Network event on Wed 16th July, 6:30-8:30pm at Goldsmiths, University of London.
We are excited to welcome Hardi Kurda and Chris Cook to discuss their journeys as recent PhD researchers. The evening will be an open conversation about the creative, critical, and personal pathways that shape intensive inquiry into sound and listening. Together, we’ll explore emerging questions and practices, reflecting on "listening practices as critical, embodied, and multisensory acts" shaped by bodily, ecological and climatic, and political crises.

Our latest Network event is a chance to experience and reflect on three multichannel soundworks performed on the Music & Audio Arts Sound Theatre (MAAST), during a relaxed afternoon of sound diffusion, conversation and networking.

In each of the three works, water permeates ideas, erodes memories and reflects existence in profound and subtle ways. Acting as emblem, cypher, birth and terminus, water is briny trace, glacial metamorphosis and vibrant host for these distinct sonic outflowings. Our listening, tangibly reminds us of the vibrational, relational insistence of matter and the inseparability of all life.
