Our August Lady’s Three-Day British Etiquette & Empowerment Course concluded yesterday with a rather special final afternoon at Fortnum & Mason.

After two days of learning and putting British etiquette into practice, our ladies had the opportunity to enjoy a traditional afternoon tea whilst continuing to refine their dining etiquette and explore the customs and traditions surrounding this quintessentially British occasion.

It was also a lovely opportunity to reflect on everything we had covered over the previous two days, from deportment and presence to communication, social etiquette and formal dining.

Three days can pass remarkably quickly, particularly when shared with such an interesting and international group of women.

Thank you to our August ladies for making the course so enjoyable. We hope you take everything you have learned with you and continue to put it into practice with confidence.

Our latest Three-Day Ladies’ British Etiquette & Empowerment Programme is now underway in London, with three days of learning taking place in the distinguished surroundings of the In and Out Naval and Military Club in St James’s.

This week, we are delighted to welcome women from the USA, Argentina, Turkey, the UK and Singapore. Although their backgrounds and experiences are wonderfully varied, they have each joined us with a shared interest in developing greater confidence and understanding within British social and professional life.

Our first day centred on confidence, presence and communication.

We considered the importance of first impressions, introductions and conversation, alongside the subtle social cues that can make such a difference when navigating unfamiliar social environments.

A particular focus was placed on conversation: how to begin an exchange naturally, keep it flowing, show genuine interest and move gracefully between lighter conversation and more substantial discussion, always with warmth and consideration.

We also spent time looking at deportment, posture, body language and personal presence. Confidence is communicated in so many ways beyond the spoken word, and becoming more aware of how we stand, move and engage with others can have a profound effect on how we feel as well as how we are perceived.

Tomorrow, we turn our attention to business and social dining etiquette, before putting our learning into practice over lunch at The Ritz London.

Day One is always a wonderful opportunity to see the group begin to settle, connect and grow in confidence—and we look forward to seeing that continue over the next two days.

While our three days together in London may have come to an end, the learning journey does not end there.

Following the programme, each lady becomes a member of The Finishing Circle, our private alumnae community created to support continued growth, learning, and refinement long after returning home.

Within The Finishing Circle, members are invited to join our monthly online Q&A sessions, providing ongoing opportunities to ask questions, revisit etiquette scenarios, and receive guidance as they navigate social and professional life.

Members also receive access to our Signature Etiquette Course and British Business Etiquette Course, together with accompanying notes, workbooks, and supporting resources designed to deepen understanding and reinforce learning over time.

One of the greatest joys of the programme is watching women continue to grow in confidence and capability long after the three days in London have concluded.

The course may end with Afternoon Tea at Brown's Hotel, but for many ladies, it marks the beginning of a much longer journey of personal refinement, cultural understanding, and connection with like-minded women around the world.

Our signature three-day ladies’ etiquette programme is once again underway this week in the heart of London, held within the beautiful surroundings of the In and Out Naval and Military Club in St James’s.

This week, we are delighted to be welcoming ladies from British, Indian, and Ukrainian backgrounds, each bringing their own experiences, perspectives, and stories to the programme.

Today, we focused on the foundations of confidence, presence, and social interaction within British culture. We explored introductions, first impressions, conversation skills, and the subtle social graces that help women navigate both social and professional environments with greater ease and assurance.

Particular attention was given to the art of conversation, learning how to move naturally from light exchanges into more meaningful and engaging dialogue while maintaining warmth, tact, and genuine interest in others.

The afternoon was devoted to deportment, posture, body language, and presence. Together, we explored how confidence is often communicated long before a single word is spoken, through the way we stand, move, and carry ourselves.

Yesterday brought our Three-Day Ladies' British Etiquette and Empowerment Course in London to a close, a rewarding few days centred on confidence, awareness, and an understanding of British social and professional life.

Our final morning focused on British dress codes and the skill of dressing appropriately for each occasion. Even as formality evolves, knowing how to interpret an invitation with care remains a mark of respect and good judgement.

We then turned to hosting and guest etiquette, exploring how to move with ease through different occasions, from informal gatherings to more structured events, with a sense of calm and consideration for others.

The course concluded with the presentation of certificates, followed by afternoon tea at Brown's Hotel, a fitting and very British way to mark the end of our time together.

It was a pleasure to see such warm connections form over the three days, with ladies from three different countries coming together, each bringing their own perspective while sharing a common intention to refine and grow.

Today, on our Three-Day British Etiquette and Empowerment Course, we focused on one of the most practical and enjoyable areas of etiquette, dining.

We looked at how to feel at ease in a range of settings, from more formal occasions through to relaxed lunches, with an emphasis on quiet confidence and awareness rather than perfection.

In the afternoon, we put this into practice with a three-course luncheon at The Ritz Hotel in London. It is always a pleasure to teach in an environment that reflects the standards we discuss throughout the course.

We are delighted to be welcoming an international group of ladies joining us from Zambia, Romania, and the United States. It is especially meaningful to host a mother and daughter attending together, a truly elegant and memorable way to share such an experience.
